Other training hospitals lack some of the specialties that the other hospitals commonly see!

Sharing of training material Doctors are made to rotate in different hospitals to

expose them to other procedures

Regional partnerships: exhange of

doctors/technologists for updates, techniques sharing

Continual Quality Improvements (CQI): cost effective work simplification customer satisfaction is

thrust

CQI …doing the right thing right the first time all the time!

If the technologists and doctors have this in mind, they produce quality work thus there will be no repeats or rework of test procedures ergo no wastage of resources (time, money, supplies, manpower)

Promotion of Nuclear Medicine Procedures

Promotion of Nuclear Medicine Procedures

Giving lectures to clinicians for their awareness of nuclear diagnostic tests: PSNM “Outreach Program”

SHARE MARKETING STRATEGIES!

SHARE MARKETING STRATEGIES!I - Identifying group to focus on (patient, insurance company,

hospital, referring doctor) - low cost and patient satisfactionM - modify or influence behavior by giving them information on

nuclear medicine (show them what you do and how you do it)A - advertise nuclear medicine services through brochures or

handouts (service and treatment provided)G - Giving (and finding out) what they want - patients want to

get better and find out what is wrong with them, they like quickservice, pleasant, qualified, trained and professional staff and nice clean environment.

E – Education of customers - referring doctors and patients are your customers - giving lectures or free clinics

Introduction of new techniques/technologies

Share with the group and standardize!

Lack of training programs and proper accreditation!

No formal school for NM technologists Starting this year, formation of a one

year course for NM technologists in one of the universities in Manila

Other Possibilities:

Facilitating regular supply of cost effective radionuclides (Indigenous regional supply and new sources of supply) by promoting regional cooperation in the development of radiopharmaceuticals.

Facilitating regular supply of cost effective radionuclides (Indigenous regional supply and new sources of supply) by promoting regional cooperation in the development of radiopharmaceuticals.

Introducing new and emerging cost effective diagnostic and therapeutic nuclear medicine techniques.

Issues: Low socio-economic status in several

countries of the region. Competing demands from other

technologies Low accessibility and poor communication

in some countries Misplaced nuclear phobia. Anything

nuclear is wrong and get destructive, hence untouchable.

High initial capital cost and running cost Rapid development of technology.

THANK YOU VERY MUCH !Maraming Salamat Po !
