Derrick’s fascination with all things tech started at the age of twelve when his grandfather taught him how to take apart and rebuild his first computer. After earning associates degrees in Computer Information Systems as well as Web Development and Design, and struggling to find a job in the field for many years, he was given the great opportunity to work for the credit union he has been a member of for over 20 years.
In 2011 he took over the role as portal administrator and realized he had a passion to give life to ideas through programming. In 2013, Derrick started the Passageways committee at Belco whose vision and mission focus on the question “What can Passageways do for you?” by engaging all associates for constructive feedback and develop ways to improve each individual’s quality of life.

5Ken manages all training functions at the bank including compliance, management and graduate management programs and sales and customer service training.
In addition, Ken directs the training technology strategy for the bank. He also manages the Business Development team and strategy to drive improvements in the business customer experience.
A perfect day for Ken would be to take Mark Twain to a Red Socks’ game.
