Use of camera • In majority of the shots

when John is singing we are seeing him in the same place but from different angles. This is the performance part of the video.

• Through out the sequence we saw a lot of underwater shots between the two characters in the narrative idea of the video.

Editing• The main methods that are

used relating to the editing is the use of filters. The use of filters creates meanings of calmness and relaxation.

• All of the shots keep jumping from the performance aspect of the video and the narrative side of the video. This switch tells us that they are different with different meanings.

Mise-en-scene

• The clothes within this video really link to the idea of the characters to be very relaxed.

• The scenery is well plays a part in the idea of the atmosphere being relaxed.

Artist Representation • This video was made for

the marriage of John Legend and his wife. The character in the video is in fact his wife. So it was a tribute to his relationship with his wife.

• The artist was trying to represents love and how strong it is and that people will love you for who you are not the person you act to be.

Meanings • The meanings that were

created through out this video was relates to the idea of love and how important it is.

• the media theory that related to this is the amplification of the lyrics and what is happening on screen. You see that he is talking about her.
