PropertyDay 3 – 11:45 LT

• Ever since the first night, two tugs from a local operator have held the vessel in it’s original position awaiting permission to take it to a safe berth nearby in line with a suggested salvage plan. The tugs are contracted by an international salvage company who has entered into an LOF with SCOPIC included and invoked.

• The list of the vessel is now 21 degrees to port. • The salvor’s plan is to stabilize the vessel at the berth, do temporary

repairs and remove bunkers and other pollutants before redelivering the vessel «safely afloat».

• The daily SCOPIC cost is currently running at USD 124,000. • The original value of the vessel before the casualty is estimated at USD

28 million while repair costs are still unknown but substantial.
