Preface We are stepping into a new era of human history. A time ofabundance in great technological achievement. In a few short years, the Internet of Things, advances in ArtificialIntelligence and the proliferation of Self-Driving Vehicles, Drones andRobotics will begin to turn everything on its side. In the future every company will become a digital company andevery job will require digital literacy. Now is the time for companies and people to get organized.

Internet of Things isabout to explode!

Internet of Things (IoT) is bringing our physical'offline' world 'online' and making it “smart”.

By the end of 2016, there will be 6.5billion connected devices.

The number of connected devices isexpected to grow to 25-50 billion by 2020.

John Chambers, CEO of CISCO, predicts

that by 2025 there will be 500 billiondevices!

If this holds true, it means we are only1% the way there.

That means that in the next 9 years...

the demand for networking, microchips, sensors, actuators, software analytics,

security, data storage will increase nearly100 fold.

Which means the demand for high-techskills will increase 100 fold.

Which means every industry will becompeting for software developers, cyber

security analysts, cloud architects, platformdevelopers, network programmers, machine

learning experts, data scientists, userinterface designers, analysts, project

managers, and more.

And this is just IoT

Let's talk aboutArtificial Intelligence

A few years ago, when processing powerachieved nearly net zero cost, Artificial

Intelligence moved out of Academia andinto Corporate America

and companies went to work figuringout what AI could do.

"It's probably hard to overstate how bigof an impact artificial intelligence isgoing to have on society over the next 20years." Jeff Bezos, CEO Amazon

By 2018, half of all consumers willinteract with services based on cognitive

computing on a regular basis.

The market for artificial intelligencesystems will increase from $202.5 million

in 2015 to $11.1 billion by 2024.

The affective computing market, an AI-powered industry, is expected to growfrom USD 9.35 billion in 2015 to USD

42.51 billion in 2020.

And in recent months nearly all of theworlds top technology companies have

open-sourced their AI.

Now it's open season for developerseverywhere.

“The business plan of the next 10,000startups is take X and add AI.” Kevin Kelly, Wired Magazine

There will come a point, when in thefuture AI will power all of the devices

(IoT), the autonomous machines(Robots) and the intelligent systems,

applications and tools that make up ourworld.

Now, let's talk a littleabout Robotics

Again, with the recent decline in the costof processing power companies can now

get serious with Robotics…

The robots of the future are fast, cheapand everywhere.

As we wait for the first wave ofconsumer robotics the biggest impact

will be seen in B2B.

Worldwide spending on Robotics isexpected to jump from a 71 billion

market in 2015 to 135.4 billion in 2019.

So what does all thismean....

#1. All Companies BecomeDigital Companies

IoT, Artificial Intelligence and Roboticsare moving us toward a completely

digital world.

This impacts every business in everyindustry, not just born-digital companies

like Google, Facebook, and Amazon.

#2. We Need More TechnicalTalent

Once upon a time you had to have aPhD to touch a computer, now-a-days

companies will take a High Schoolstudent if they can code.

Today, the playing field is level.

It doesn't matter if you are mid career orfresh out of college, you can re-skill now!

#3. Every Company Needs aDigital Strategy, a Big Data

Strategy, and a Talent Strategy.

Customers are advancing to a digital-firstmindset.

People don't want to work for old stuffyinstitutions.

Data is becoming the raw material of the21st Century.

What will it cost to stay the same?

Many predict that the vast majority ofbusinesses will not exist in a meaningfulway in 10 years, as many companies willfail to keep up with the accelerating pace

of innovation in digital technology.

Which is not crazy to think consideringover 40% of the companies at the top ofthe Fortune 500 in 2000 were no longer

there in 2010.

Now is the time to getorganized to execute.

We are living in the most excitingtime in human history!

A time of great abundance in ourtechnological achievement!
