The best way for a company to attract attention is to secure press, a process that may utilize the services of a specialist but has to begin with the entrepreneur her or himself. A new business owner must create a brief description of the company and why it is unique and be able to recite this information at any point to a member of the press. The entrepreneur also needs to be proactive and contact media outlets, preferably at times of the year when the company's product is relevant. Further, the entrepreneur should be attentive to industry events, news stories, and internal developments that connect to the company's mission or product. Doing so can help motivate media outlets to cover the company and its current business activities.
