The results for this question is that 16.67% chose the price of 0-99p, 33.33% chose £1-1.99, 33.33% also chose £2-3.99 and 16.67% chose £4+. This shows that two best pricings are £1 to 1.99 or £2 to 3.99. I don’t think I should price the magazine at £1 to 1.99 because I feel that it is to cheap so costumers will respect the product less, this concludes I should make the pricing £2 to 3.99 because I think I should price my magazine at relativity ok price to make

I don’t think I should price the magazine at £1 to 1.99 because I feel that it is to cheap so costumers will respect the product less, this concludes I should make the pricing £2 to 3.99 because I think I should price my magazine at relativity ok price to make it look more premium. Also by pricing it at this choice it shows the costumers that the magazine isn’t to expensive or to cheap.

The survey shows that 33.33% of people prefer hip hop/rap, 33.33% prefer R&B/soul, 16.67% prefer pop and 16.67% prefer indie. This suggest that the majority either wants a hip-hop/rap or R&B/soul related magazine. R&B/soul would require more of a calm and peaceful atmosphere and hip hop/rap would require a busy and loud atmosphere because the music videos tend to be more of people clubbing and they tend to have more of a upbeat tune. Also I think I should choose hip hop/ rap because I also listen to that type of music so I will have more knowledge of what to include on my magazine cover to give it more of a hip hop and rap scene.

The response to how many times people buy a magazine is that 66.67% don’t buy magazines at all and 33.33% of people buy a magazine once a week. This may suggest that the magazines that are available to consumers are not favourably to the majority of the population and it may show that not many people tend to buy magazines maybe because they can get the same information from other sources easier, quicker and cheaper such as the internet. From this information I need to make my magazine appeal to a larger population of the market and I need it to be more attractive to consumers.

The survey shows 16.67% chose red, green and purple, 0% chose orange and 50% chose blue which means that everyone has a different colour that they favour, but the participants that completed my survey chose blue as the majority colour favoured. I think I should use the colour blue for the colour scheme because it gives a neutral vibe and there is a higher chance of it appealing to both gender, unlike some other colours. To specify, I would use a scuba blue because I think it would stand out and it would make the magazine look more attractive. They would potentially attract more costomers.

The survey shows that 0% of participants got there information from newspapers or magazines, 16.67% got there information from T.V and 83.33% got there information from the internet. This shows as technology has evolved magazine and newspapers have decreased in demand, this suggests that I should make my magazine cover, double page spread and content page more appealing to consumers by making it look apart from the majority of the magazines which will make my magazine more noticeable and it will help it stand out.

The results from the survey shows that 0% of participants want the magazine content to be dominated by materialistic object, 33.33% want the content to be dominated by singers/rappers and 66.67% of participants want the content to be dominated by models. This may suggest that when I create my magazine I should let the photographs of the models dominate the majority of the magazine cover, double page spread and the content page so it appeals to more people which means more people will be interested in it.

The survey shows that 0% of participants don’t read at all, 66.67% of participants sort of read and 33.33% of participants read a lot. This suggests that the majority of the participants don’t want to read large books or articles due to boredom. This may hint that I should make my magazine cover containing a small amount of text so the audience wont lose there attention and the information can be short and effective. Another option I could do is to write fairly large amounts of text but I should make it interesting as possible and should put it in a very colourful font to make it stand out to the audience.

The survey shows that 0% of participants read magazines due to work purposes, news purposes or just for pictures but 100% of participants do read magazines for interest reasons. This suggests that my magazine has to appeal to the majority of the consumers by having interesting content that appeals to the majority of the population. Also the magazine needs to have something genuine and interesting in general which the consumers have saw nowhere else to attract more costumers due to giving new information.

The survey shows that the favourite magazine genre is that 0% of participants chose gossip or fitness, 16.67% chose fashion, 33.33% chose music and 50% chose sport. These results might be affected by gender because it may be that sport would appeal more to males and fashion would appeal more to females. My magazine should combine a small amount of sport features from sport magazines and a small amount of fashion features from fashion magazines to make it familiar to fashion or sport magazine audiences. This will also help attract more costumers.

The survey shows that 33.33% of participants chose close up shots, 33.33% of participants chose mid shots and 33.33% of participants chose long shots. This shows that there is a equal percentage of people who prefer different types of shots. So to make my decision I should look at a range of hip hop/ rap magazines and see what the majority of shots of the model/artist are used for the magazine cover, double page spread and the content age.
