METAMORPHOSIS IN MIDDLETOWNTECHNOLOGY AND OTHER RELATED HAPPENINGS

RIGORIN SUPPORT OF…

“I have been requesting intervention specialists include MAP scores

when writing IEPs. I am hoping it will eventually lead to teachers using

MAP data to guide intervention as they become more comfortable with

the program.”

-Lori Case – MMS BTR

“Teachers at multiple elementary buildings were eager to learn about the

MAP reports and create student goals based off of the information.”

-Jaylen Faulk, Data Manager

PROJECTED PROFICIENCY ON OAA FOR MATH

“I would like to learn

harder things for math

because math

problems are coming

easy to me and I

want something more

challenging so I can

improve my learning.”

-Sixth Grader

If I were given more

challenging work in

class I would do it.

PROJECTED PROFICIENCY ON OAA FOR READING

“After the initial exploration of some basic reports during the PLC at

Amanda, teachers were anxious to further explore the MAP results to

plan for differentiated instruction in their classrooms.”

-Jeanie Hayes, Data Manager

“Teachers have been delighted because they are able to measure

student’s readiness in reading, Math, and Science. It helps a teacher to plan intervention for students that may have deficits.”

-Rocky Chasteen – MHS BTR

DATA TO ASSIST IN EDUCATIONAL PLANNING

Individual student

growth goals can

be created using

the goal setting

worksheet.

“A little bit

harder work to

help us in

school and a

healthier lunch

please.”

-Fifth Grader

I give up when

school work is difficult.

RELEVANCEIN SUPPORT OF…

DATA FOR INSTRUCTIONAL DECISION MAKING

Teacher can use the

student progress report

to see students

projected growth in

science, reading,

language, and math.

STUDENT GETTING INVOLVED

Miller Ridge Tech club decided on making a project for multiplication practice.

Students have photographed honor assemblies and Friday Finale celebrations at Amanda.

MHS students are creating video segments tentatively named "NYK" (Now You Know) that educates students on educational and social matters.

“The work is easier when

done on a computer. It is

more easy when we can

have less work, but I

know that we would

never get less work. We

should do more work on

the computers.”

-Seventh Grade Student

I am expected to use

computers and the

Internet to help me learn.

STAFF TECHNOLOGY USAGE

“At conference time, the Google Drive was awesome because I could update immediately and not have to send out email to all.”

– Lori Case – BTR at MMS

I have seen teacher projecting and using PowerPoints and you tube clips more than in the past. Individual teachers are sharing things on Google Drive for professional use.

– Pam Wheeler – BTR at Amanda

“My teachers

respect me and

so do my

principals. And

they are my role

models.”

-Third Grader

I have a teacher who

is a positive role model

for me.

DATA FOR PROGRAMMATIC CHANGE

Teachers can

see performance

levels in a class

overview by

subject and

sub-skills.

“More field trips to

colleges. The

counselors need to let

students know when

there are deadlines

for important events,

and let us know what

we should do to help

our future.”

-Eleventh Grader

I believe that going

to college is important

to my future.
