Ford Custom Accessories wheels and tires are designed as a system and must be used as such. Larger-sized systems may require a new spare tire and additional components. Also, tire chains cannot be used due to lack of clearance to the wheelhouse. Trucks equipped with accessory wheel-and-tire systems are not compatible for use with snowplow equipment. USING DIFFERENT-SIzED WHEELS OR TIRES Adding wheels or tires that are a different size than your original equipment wheels and tires may affect the performance and/or electronic systems of your vehicle – including its braking, ride-and-handling characteristics, stability, resistance to rollover, fuel economy and tire traction (on wet, dry, snowy or icy roads). Changes in vehicle performance are not covered by the New Vehicle Limited Warranty.

REPLACING TIRES Ford Motor Company strongly recommends that your replacement tires be the same as your vehicle’s original equipment tires to ensure proper levels of performance and safety during normal use. Ford, Lincoln and Mercury vehicles were developed and matched with specific tires and wheels. If you choose different replacement tires, make sure they are the same size, load range, speed rating and construction type (radial- and bias-belted tires) as your vehicle’s original equipment tires.

WARNING Your vehicle may not provide an acceptable level of performance and safety if you use tires not recommended for your Ford Custom Accessories wheels. You may increase the chance you will crash and suffer serious injury. Only use specified tires, and install the additional component-kit upgrade required on certain Ford, Lincoln and Mercury vehicles.

why should i consider Ford Custom Accessories?

For many reasons. Not least of which is that every accessory is designed to seamlessly fit how your vehicle looks and operates, enhancing the visual appeal and/or the functionality. And Ford Custom Accessories are also engineered to meet Ford Motor Company’s high standards for performance, durability and safety.

Can the price of Ford Custom Accessories be calculated into my monthly payment?

Sure can. The cost of any accessory that you choose may be rolled into your purchase price or monthly payment. This only applies to accessories chosen at the time of sale.

Are Ford Custom Accessories covered by a warranty?

Absolutely! Ford Motor Company will repair or replace any properly dealer-installed Genuine Ford Accessories found to be defective in factory- supplied materials or workmanship during the warranty period, as well as any component damaged by the defective accessory. The accessory will be warranted for whichever provides you the greatest benefit: 12 months or 12,000 miles (whichever occurs first), or the remainder of your Bumper-to-Bumper 3-year/36,000-mile New Vehicle Limited Warranty. As always, ask your Ford Dealer for details and a copy of the warranty. (Also see page 25.)

Do Ford Licensed Accessories have warranty coverage?

Yes. Ford Licensed Accessories (FLA) sold and installed by your Ford Dealer are quality aftermarket accessories that are engineered, tested and produced by their respective manufacturers. Meaning all FLA are warranted by the accessory manufacturer’s warranty rather than by Ford Motor Company or individual Ford Dealers. The warranty coverage and claims process varies by manufacturer. Contact your Ford Dealer for details regarding the manufacturer’s limited warranty and/or a copy of the FLA product warranty offered by the accessory manufacturer.

is it hard to install Ford Custom Accessories?

Depends. While there are some accessories that require very little or no installation at all, we recommend that your Ford, Lincoln or Mercury Dealer handle the installation of your accessories. This ensures that they’re installed properly and it maintains the coverage of the limited warranty. Many Ford Custom Accessories only take an hour or less to install. See your dealer for details.

Whether you are the proud owner of a new or previously owned Ford, Lincoln or Mercury vehicle, you can always make it your own by visiting your dealer’s showroom or by shopping online at fordaccessories.com.

Remember, the best time to get Ford Custom Accessories is at the time of new vehicle purchase or lease. is it possible to order a real, turn-key race car directly from my dealer?

Actually, you can get a couple of race-ready versions. The Mustang FR500S (shown below, left) is featured exclusively in the Ford Racing Mustang Challenge for the Miller Cup, and comes equipped with a production 4.6L V8, Ford Racing performance parts, roll cage, racing seat, AIM data acquisition system, and a timing/scoring transponder.
