We founded Pupil Labs in 2014 around a single product - Pupil Core - a platform that is comprised of an open source software suite and a wearable eye tracking headset. Pupil Core is more than just a product, it is an open platform used by a global community of researchers. In a few short years, we grew from a 2 person company into a market leader in wearable eye tracking.

We believe that great technology gets out of your way. We have taken steps towards realizing this vision in our newest product - Pupil Invisible. The first eye tracking device that truly looks and feels like a normal pair of glasses. No setup, no adjustments, no calibration.

Wear Capture Analyze

Traditional eye tracking approaches fail in bright sunlight. Pupil Invisible provides robust gaze estimation in any environment!

Convenient by design

A wide angle camera records your full field of view. An integrated microphone can capture audio. We recognize that you might not always want to be wearing an outward facing camera. That is why we have designed the entire scene camera to be quickly and easily detached/re-attached via magnetic connection.

Never lose track

Our algorithms perfectly and instantaneously compensate for the movement of the glasses, ensuring high quality eye tracking data at all times. Take the glasses on and off, just like you would a normal pair of glasses. We have also integrated an IMU into the frame, so that you can keep track of head movements.

Swappable lenses

You can easily pop in/out lenses with different prescriptions and shades. Can accommodate prescription ranges from -8 to +8 diopter.

Pupil Invisible Software

Pupil Invisible comes with an Android smartphone and companion app - Invisible Companion. It uses the companion device for real-time neural network gaze estimation, real-time streaming over wifi, recording, and optional connectivity to Pupil Cloud to securely backup your recordings.

Pupil Core Software

Pupil software runs on macOS, Linux, and Windows 10. Pupil software enables you to record, visualize, and analyze eye tracking data. Pupil software is open source and updates are released on a regular basis. Use Pupil Capture for data acquisition and real-time applications. Pupil Player for visualizationa and analysis (post-hoc). Pupil Mobile for data acquisition and streaming. You can easily extend functionality of Pupil by developing your own plugins in Python or modify the source code!
