Bring the Classics to Life with Computer SoftwareEach diskette includes the entire Classic novel in a ten-chapter format. This format achieves

immediate success for the student who finds the original version too difficult to read. Each novel wasrewritten at lower-than-original reading levels using McGraw-Hill’s Core Vocabulary and measured by theFry Readability Formula.

New teaching vocabulary is defined and used in context, a preview illustration is supplied, and adictionary definition and preview question is provided. New vocabulary presented in each chapter isreinforced and graded after each reading selection. After each chapter, the student completes ten com-prehension questions. Multiple-choice requires the student to recall specific details, sequence the vents, draw inference from chapter context, develop another name for the chapter and select the main idea.

Reading fluency and rate development are achieved through the use of controlled reading method-ology either in full-line format or fluency slot modality. Rate of presentation for each chapter may bevaried from 40 to 520 words per minute. The Record Keeper

The comprehension and vocabulary scores for thirty (30) students can be maintained within “TheRecord Keeper.” Each student’s record is maintained using his or her name, plus an individual ID#. It ispossible to delete from 1 to 30 students individually, or the entire class. Students’ scores may be ana-lyzed on the monitor and/or a printed copy may be generated.Reading Level 2EDAV101 White Fang $39.00EDAV102 Rebecca/Sunnybrook Farm $39.00EDAV103 Little Women $39.00EDAV104 Swiss Family Robinson $39.00EDAV105 Huckleberry Finn $39.00EDAV15 All 5 Level 2 Books $99.00
