JKA Serbia has the pleasure to invite you to the JKA European Championships 2018. These championships

will take place in the sportscenter “ CAIR” NIŠ.

How to reach NIŠ: NIŠ is centrally located and can easily be reached, either by bus, train or plane.

Transport information:

There are 2 airports from/to which we can organize transport:

• Nis „ Car Konstantin“ International Airport Nis

• Belgrade „ Nikola Tesla“ International Airport Belgrade

The price for the transport from/to the airport Nis ”Car Konstantin” is 20,- Euro/person.

The price for the transport from/to the airport Belgrade ”Nikola Tesla” is 45,- Euro/person.

Please fill in Form A to book the transport from the airport to your hotel.

Deadline for the transport is March 1 st , 2018

Transfers will be made by buses, minibuses, and cars, based on the needs of participants teams.

1. All participants staying in the hotels of the organization will have a special price on the transfers.

2. The round trips from airports to the hotels of the organization will be guaranteed.

3. 7th April buses will be available to transport all the hotels/hostels in the organization to the championship

venue, at times to be defined.

4. During the course of the event, transportation will be provided to and from the organization,s

hotels/hostels, with shedules to be defined and with requests to be made to organization.

5. Tranportations will be guaranteed for training in the sports pavilion for participants staying at the

organization,s hotels, with time to be defined.

6. The transportation to Sayonara Party will be offered to the participants staying in the hotels of

organization, with schedule to be defined.

PLEASE NOTE: THESE TRANSFERS WILL ONLY BE GUARANTEED FOR WHO STAY IN THE HOTELS / HOSTELS

OF THE ORGANIZATION.

Training Facilities: The training facilities will be marked when the teams arrive.

Thursday 5 April 2018: Arrival of delegations and accommodation

• 14h00 – 19h00: Registration at the Sports Center „ CAIR“

Friday, 6 April 2018: Arrival of delegations and accommodation

• 14h00 – 19h00: Registration at the Sports Center „ CAIR“

• 17h00 – 18h00: Judge meeting. at the Sports Center „ CAIR“

All judge and referees SHALL be present at the judge meeting.

All coaches from each country SHALL be present at the judge meeting.

All coaches from each country SHALL also attend to the judge meeting.

If the coaches not attend the meeting they will not be allowed to work as

coach in the championship. All coaches shall obey the rules and if they

do not obey, the shushin have to turn out them from the fighting area.

• 18h00 – 19h00: JKA Europe Meeting at the Sports Center „ CAIR “

Referees

Bura Sensei will be Technical Director for this Championships

Each country is allowed to send maximum 5 referees

Only referees with a JKA Europe or JKA World Federation license are accepted.

Important information

Deadline for registration is March 1st, 2018.

Each participating country carries the costs for transportation and accommodation.

Participants are responsible for their own insurance.

The organization is not responsible for eventual problems, should the required funds not be

transferred in time.

Championship rules

Age categories: Juniors: Kumite: 18, 19, 20 years old

Kata: 16 till 20 years old

Seniors: 21 years old and up

Participants are only allowed to participate in 1 category (junior or senior)!

All participants are required to have a JKA degree (minimal 3rd Kyu or Dan), a copy of the certificate may

be requested as confirmation.

Competition categories:

For all age categories:

Individual Kumite: Men, women, maximum 4 participants per category

Individual Kata: Men, women, maximum 4 participants per category

Team Kumite: 3 men (+ 1 reserve), 3 women (+1 reserve)

Team Kata: 3 men (+ 1 reserve), 3 women (+1 reserve)

One country – one delegation

In case there is more than one karate organization in a particular country, the organizations are themselves

responsible to agree amongst themselves to form one delegation to represent their country.

Other matters

Officially appointed tournament doctors and staff will be present to administer first aid should this be

necessary. The doctors hold the decision-making authority to decide if any injured contestant can continue

in the event or should withdraw. Furthermore, each contestant must carry certain health insurance and is

responsible for his/her own health care and will have no claims to the tournament doctors.
