Considerable sections of the so-called academia and the elite even today display a singular lack of national consciousness even after witnessing such horrendous insult to nationhood as partition of the country.

The fact that such a breed continues to exist even after so much historical and recent experience provides the strongest reason det're for intense and continuous propagation of the ideal of nationalism and the recognition of the Hindu national identity as a fundamental fact transcending corroboration and discussion.

Any compromise in this regard is bound to cause peril to hard earned freedom; and without freedom there will be no prospect of progress for all either.

Paravatam (Home Coming) Why and HowahimsatoleranceD

Why do you think all Indians have to be Hindus?

Originally, all Indians are Hindus. They just changed into other religions. In those days, Caste was so strong and people who got oppressed became Muslims or Christians, but now Caste is not strong and people can be back to Hindu society.

Do you mean Hindu society as India?

Yes.

India is a secular country. Dont you think every religion has right to exist in India?

Yes, but there is Hindu culture and every religion exists inside it.

In the book, it says if people want to come back to Hindu, Hindu society welcomes them. What will happen if they do not want to?

They want to, because they are originally Hindus. If they do not want to, their religion is binding them. People cant live without Dharma.

I think they have something to believe like Dharma in their own religion, too. Dont you think they can live with it?

Islam or Christianity is intolerant. And wars happen.

Do you mean Islam and Christianity are violent?

Yes, sometimes they are. There are many terrorism and wars.

What about the Ayodhya case in 1992? That was violence by Hindus.

Not true. That was protecting from Muslims.

Are you saying they destroyed the mosque for protecting?

Originally, there was a Hindu temple in that place. They broke it down and built the mosque. Thats what I call protecting. Also many Hindus got killed in that case. That was a tragedy and young men who did that have responsibility. That was a very delicate problem.

I went to Matura few days ago. Do you think Matura is going to be next Ayodhya?

Matura is similar as Ayodhya. There is very important place for Hindu.

Its Krishnas birth place, right?

Yes.

Do you think you need to destroy the mosque in there?

I dont say destroy. We think we need to rebuild Hindu temple.

Is that without violent way?

Of course. We try to discuss about that without violence.

You support nonviolence way, I mean ahimsa way, right? What do you think about Kashmir problem? There are still some armed conflicts there.

Kashmir problem is over. Its resolved. There is some terrorism by Pakistan but its resolved for us.

What about relationship with Pakistan?

We, in the past, have problems but we are getting better relationship.

Dont you think some groups like RSS make the relation worse?

No, we do nothing wrong. Pakistan has a big problem like terrorism.

Do you think India and Pakistan can be friends?

Yes, if they want to.

But you said Islam is violent.

Yes, some of them are. I dont know much about Islam but most Muslims in India are nice.

Because they are originally Hindu?

Yes. They know they have Dharma.

Then why do you want them to be back to Hindu when they are still nice as Muslims?

Because it is the natural way to live in this land. I dont want them to forget Dharma.

Why did you join RSS?

I joined RSS because I lost my family in Partition. RSS is as my family.

Do you mean you joined RSS in 1947?

Yes.

What happened to your family?

I dont know much but they died.

Could you tell me the details, please?

I was a little boy and living with my family in the city near Punjab. One day, my parents told me to go to Delhi because they heard that Partition was going to happen. They sent me to Delhi but it was very hard. There were many fights and many people died. My uncle told me my family died.

Did you start to live with your uncle?

Yes, but there was nothing, so I joined RSS to support each other.

What did you do as a member of RSS?

We supported each other.

Did you join any fight or conflict against Muslims?

I dont remember much.

What do you think about the relationship between India and Pakistan now?

I think its good. Partition was horrible. It was very horrible.

I read the book about Partition. I bought it in this store.

Thats a nice book. That was horrible. I saw it with my own eyes.

Do you feel hateful about Muslims?

No. Every thing got better than that time.

Do you think all Hindus and Muslims have to live together peacefully?

Yes, peace is the best thing.

How do you make it peace? There is still problem among Hindu and Muslims.

We are children of one mother.

Mother land of India?

Yes. We all are children of Bharat Mata.

I saw the article that Mr. X said he needed Hindu temple in Nishikasai. Do you agree with him? If so, please tell me why you need Hindu temple, and how do you come off the plan?

We want Hindu temple not only for Indians but for everyone who want to come and pray. We Indians believe in god very much for peace of mind and good relation with others.

You said that Indian Community of Edogawa had people from various areas in India. There are the differences of language and so on. What makes people unite?

We all have one heart and very much love to our country. The difference of language is meaningless.
