MEASUREMENT GUIDEVIOLIN / VIOLA
Have your student stand and extend their left arm, palm facing up, to their side at a 90 degree angle to the body parallel to the floor. Using a yard-stick or tape measure, measure from the base of the neck to the middle of the palm.

Have your student stand as tall as possible, as if they were standing at attention. Using a tape measure, measure from the floor to their sternal notch, where the ribs come together at the chest.
