Principal’s Report

Tuart Rise Primary School Newsletter

Welcome everyone to the final term of the 2015 school year.

It was great to see everyone starting back at school yesterday and meeting our new students and their fami-

lies.

One of our focuses for this term is to begin preparation for next year. Two events we will be running to as-

sist with this will be a Kindergarten Information Session and a welcome for families starting at our school for

the first time in 2016.

The Kindergarten Information session is designed for parents who have enrolled a child in our Kindergarten

program for 2016. The purpose is to provide information, answer questions, meet staff and to familiarise

participants with the school facilities. This will be held on Wednesday, 11th of November at 8:45 am in the

school library.

An invitation will be sent to all families who have enrolled a child in our 2016 Kindergarten program.

The Welcome for New Families is targeted at families who will be starting their children in pre-primary

through to year 6 at the school for the first time in 2016. The purpose is to provide information, answer

questions, meet the school leadership staff and to familiarise participants with the school facilities. Children

are very welcome to attend and see what their new school is like.

This will be held on Monday, 7th December at 2:00 pm in the school library. Invitations will be sent to all

families who will be new to the school in 2016.

On a different note some of our students will be participating in the Inter-school Athletics Carnival on the

18th of October. I extend to all our representatives my best wishes.

Have a great week everyone.

Free School Magnet

A cool school magnet will be sent home with the hard copy of this

Newsletter. Please ask your children for it as it may get forgotten

in a school bag.

Riding a bike to school?

Our bike racks are starting to fill which indicates students are riding their bikes

and scooters to school—which is fantastic. Please remember that bicycle helmets

are compulsory by law and must be worn at all times when riding. It is also im-

portant to remember cycling courtesy. Ring your bell or make your self known to

pedestrians sharing the paths. A little warning could save an accident occurring.

School Choir—First Out Of School Performance

The TRPS Senior Choir were given the opportunity to sing at the opening ceremony of the School Sport WA

District High Schools Country Week. This was an excellent opportunity for our students to showcase their tal-

ents to an audience in the wider community.

They performned on Monday 21st September at the WA Basketball Centre in Mt Claremont. Students wore

their TRPS Choir shirts with pride and sang beautifully.

Do you view our newsletter electronically?

Our newsletter is starting to get lengthy as we include both school

and community based information. Eventually our newsletter will

only be available electronically and we will phase out the hard

copy sent home with the oldest student from each family. This

week, only a 4 page shortened version will be sent home and the

full newsletter will need to be viewed electronically. This can be

done by email, Connect, Skoolbag App or our website. Please con-

tact administration if you require assistance viewing our news-

dress is now $34.50). For further information and online enrolment

SCHOOL PHOTO DAY IS COMING! Dear Parents,

Our school photo day is coming! Approximately two weeks prior to the photo day every student will receive a Kapture Photography order envelope to bring home. The recommended method of ordering your photos is online through Kapture’s website as your payment is secure and can be easily verified at any time. Alternatively you can pay by cash or cheque and return the provided envelope to the school on the photography day. If you place your order online please DO NOT return your envelope to school.

Any parent who forgets or is unable to supply their envelope on the photo day will have five (5) days to complete an order online. Late payment envelopes cannot be accepted by the school office or by Kapture.

You also have the option to order a sibling photo package online, however please be aware there may be a lim-ited number of sibling orders that can be placed due to time constraints on photo day. We suggest you place your online sibling order as early as possible to avoid disappointment.

Kapture offer a money back guarantee for any parent who is not fully satisfied with their photo package. Should you have any queries before or after photo day, please direct them to the Kapture office on 9240 1714 or email [email protected]

All students will be photographed individually on photo day for school administration records AS WELL as included in their class group photo available for purchase to all families. Should there be any reason why your child should

NOT be included in the photo shoot –please contact the school office.
