You have asked to present a proposal to the Board of Education.The exact nature of this proposal is dependent upon your literature review topic, but this is NOT a literature review presentation, it is a proposal. A pitch!Assume the board is allotting you 20 minutes to capture their interest, tell them what the problem is, what your solution is, establish your credibility, and pitch your proposalNow consolidate that 20 minute board presentation into a 5 minute summary PPT for this class.

This is the handout you leave with board members so they can say: What was that about? Why should I care? What should I do about it?One page (2 if absolutely necessary). You want to capture their interest and remind them of your salient points, then get them to do more (like read your full proposal).Cite relevant literature but don’t overdo it. You want to convey the message that this proposal is grounded in research but you don’t want to distract them with extraneous information.Prepare 1 handout for each of us.
