Welcome to All Rockfish Camp and Retreat Center was founded in 1964 in affiliation with The United Methodist Church. Built on the foundation of love and faith, Camp Rockfish is nestled on 486 acres in the Sandhills region of North Carolina at the intersection of Hoke, Cumberland and Robeson counties, and borders the picturesque Lake Upchurch. Rockfish is a welcoming place for all types of visitors: from adults here for a business conference, to youth groups on a weekend retreat, to scouts on their first tent camping experience. All groups receive our highest level of Christian hospitality and openness to share God’s love. 3

A perfect start to summer camping! Seekers are able to get a great sampling of what Camp Rockfish has to offer, in a fun, low stress environment. The lower staff-to-camper ratio allows campers a chance to spread their wings and allows staff more time to devote to each individual camper.

For many campers this could be their first experience overnight away from parents. That is why our primary camp for this age group is what we call the Mini. Our Mini camp offers a 4 day, 3 night experience that is a great transition into our traditional one week camps.

Campers have the opportunity to participate in a number of activities including: arts & crafts, swimming, archery, nature hikes, environmental education, small group devotions, sports, canoeing and much more!

The first mini-camp session of the week starts Sunday afternoon and runs through Wednesday morning, while the second session of the week starts Wednesday afternoon and ends Saturday morning.

You’re invited to come and enjoy Rockfish during our Open House on April 18, 2010. If you have questions or would like more assistance, please feel free to call us and set up a personal tour.

Over three weeks, youth focus on the three areas of Camp Rockfish leadership: Personal faith growth and leadership, skill set training, and leadership training. Bunch campers experience and practice leading daily small group devotions and learn how to plan and lead large group worship experiences. They receive training and practice with leading children and youth in a camp environment and out. They have the opportunity to learn about many aspects of Camp Rockfish leadership.
