WHAT IS THE CRAWFISH BOIL?The Crawfish Boil is the Junior Executive Board’s annual fundraiser to raise money for River Region cancer patients to stay well, get well, fight back, and to find cures. The Crawfish Boil is open to the public and is fun for the whole family! Enjoy delicious food, hear live music, meet new people and relax in a festive environment at Montgomery’s Riverwalk! This is one event that you will want to put on your calendar every year!

WHAT IS THE JUNIOR EXECUTIVE BOARD?The American Cancer Society’s Junior Executive Board was formed in 2005 by young professionals in the Montgomery business community who shared a common passion to fight cancer and spread awareness of this life-threatening disease.

FUNThe Crawfish Boil has something for every member of your family to enjoy! From pet costume contests judged by WAKA’s Jamie Langley and others, to face painting for the kids, there is plenty of fun to be had by all! Adults can shop in our Marketplace with vendors such as, Amore’ Boutique, Tah Dah, NS Creations, and Designs by Mary; children can participate in games provided by Gymboree, play on the inflatables or the Big Green Bus! Giveaways? We have lots of those too! Win door prizes from local businesses such as the Montgomery Biscuits, Super Suppers, Logo Branders and Jalapeños Mexican Restaurant! The Montgomery Humane Society will even have an adoption station so that you can take a four-legged friend home after the crawfish boil! If you are artistically inclined, our art contest, judged by Diddy Vucovich and others, will showcase the masterpieces of many local students.

This year marks the second year the event has been held at the Riverwalk and we welcome the College Bass East Super Regional tournament. Two-person teams from colleges and universities from all over the Eastern region, including schools like the University of Alabama

and Clemson University will compete in the College Bass East Super Regional event on the Alabama River.

FOODWhat would a Crawfish Boil be like without crawfish? Satisfy your palate with fresh crawfish and delicious sides at the Riverwalk! We also have other vendors on site with treats available such as, hamburgers, hotdogs, snow cones, cotton candy, popcorn and much more! Quench your thirst with an ice cold soft drink or enjoy a free beer tasting compliments of Allstate Beverage (must be 21 years of age or older to participate in the beer tasting.)

ENTERTAINMENTNo crawfish boil is complete without soulful jazz and blues music! Hear the sounds of jazz artist Henry Pugh or enjoy some of your favorite classics with Todd Simpson & Mojo Child!

The Small Town Mayors from Atlanta, Georgia, will be performing at this year’s event! So, bring your dancing shoes to the Riverwalk because there will be three bands that you will not want to miss!
