Anchorage School District Class PassPeople Mover offers each Anchorage SchoolDistrict elementary teacher the option ofpurchasing a school year group class pass for $50.

This photo ID Class Pass allows groups of up to30, including the teacher, accompanying aides andparents, to use People Mover buses for unlimitedeldtripsthroughoutthecurrentschoolyear.Contact Customer Service at 343-6526 or343-6543 for information.

Annual PassesSave 10% by purchasing an annual pass (12month period) at the Downtown Transit Center. Iflost or stolen, it may be replaced for a $3.75 fee.

Employer Sponsored Pass (ESP)PublicTransportationisagreatemployeebenet!Employers and employees can take advantageoftransittaxbenets.Whenemployersprovidebus passes they promote bus ridership, reducecongestion, improve air quality and increaseemployee reliability. ESP offers employees photoID cards which reduce the hassle of purchasing anew bus pass each month. If lost or stolen, it may bereplaced for a $3.75 fee.

Day PassesOne-day (unlimited ride) passes are sold on the bus

for exact change. Day passes are valid only for thecalendar day of purchase. Let the bus operator knowyou want a day pass BEFORE you put money intothe fare box. Day pass coupons can be purchasedin advance at the Downtown and Dimond TransitCenters and other outlets.

Monthly PassesMonthly passes provide unlimited rides throughoutthe month for which they are sold. Passes for thecoming month go on sale the 25th of the previousmonth and remain on sale until the 24th of thecurrent month. All monthly passes are discounted50% on the 16th of the month. Passes are valid onthedateofsaleandthroughtherstworkingdayofthe following month.

College Semester PassesThrough a contractual arrangement with theUniversityofAlaskaAnchorage,AlaskaPacicUniversity and Charter College, students, faculty andstaff with a current semester ID may ride free on anyPeople Mover bus. Students and employees need toshow this ID when boarding. For more information,please contact Customer Service at 343-6543.

Share-A-RideInformation 562-7665VANPOOL: Working through VPSI,Inc., Anchorage Public Transportationoffers over 50 (13-passenger) vans for

commuters with similar home and worklocations and schedules. The monthlyfare is based on the length of theindividual commute trip, and covers fuel,maintenance, insurance and mileage.

CARPOOL: Our online carpool matchingservice connects commuters with one ormorecarpoolpartners.Thecondential

ride match will provide names and phonenumbers for individuals interested incarpooling who live and work near you,and have similar work schedules.

Riders familiar with the Anchoragearea and the bus system may call theRideline at any time. Press 0 twice toskip the recording and be transferred

11.70.030 Prohibited ActsA. It is unlawful for any person while aboard

a passenger vehicle which is transportingpassengers in regular route service within the

limits of the Municipality of Anchorage to:

1. Smoke, consume, or use a lighted or

smoldering pipe, cigar, cigarette or any other

tobacco product;

2. Drink or consume alcohol or transport open

alcohol containers;

3. Disturb or harass other passengers;

4. Discard, dispose, place, throw, or drop anylitter, food or drink in or from a passenger

vehicle, except into receptacles designated for

that purpose;

5. Play any radio, MP3 player, boom box,

cassette recorder, musical instrument or

other such device, unless it is connected

to an earphone that limits the sound to the

individual user;

6. Carry any live animals except:

Properlycontainedsmallanimals;or

Aserviceanimalaccompaniedbya

passenger with a disability or a trainer;

7. Stand in front of the white/yellow line

markedontheforwardendoftheoorof

any passenger vehicle or otherwise conduct

himself/herself in such a manner as to

obstruct the vision of the passenger vehicle

operator;

8. Knowingly fail or refuse to pay the applicablefare for transportation on the passenger

vehicle in cash, passes or tokens in the

required manner;

9. Present a pass, badge or other fare medium

when the person presenting such fare knows

that the pass, badge or other fare medium is

not valid;

10. Violate indecent exposure or exhibition laws

asdenedinsection8.10.080;

11. Willfully obstruct, impede, hinder, interfere

with or otherwise disrupt the safe and

efcientoperationofthepassengervehicle

or any passenger vehicle operator in the

performance of his/her duties;

12.Distributehandbillsoryersonanytopicor

solicit or panhandle from passengers;

13. Use abusive language, insulting threats, or

any other type of obscenity or physical abuse

upon a passenger vehicle operator or another

passenger;

14. Vandalize or destroy any portion of apassenger vehicle;

15.Depositbodilyuidssuchasspit,urine,feces,

vomit or blood in a passenger vehicle;

16.Carryanyammableorcombustibleliquids,

explosives, acids or any other item inherently

dangerous or offensive to others;

17. Conduct cell phone conversations on speaker

phone;

18. Refuse to leave a passenger vehicle at therequest of a passenger vehicle operator after

violating this section.

Violation of the provisions of this chapter shall be

subjecttoanedescribedinSection11.70.040

Employer Sponsored Pass (ESP)

ESP allows a business or agency topurchase monthly bus passes for theiremployees. Participating employeesare given a photo ID pass and neednot purchase a new pass every month.

People Mover Customer Service staffarrange payment on a monthly orquarterly basis and employers are billedonly for those employees currentlyenrolled in the program. Ask youremployer or call 343-4536 for information.
