seek the Lord Jesus Christ and worship Him together with us. Please take a moment to complete the Connection Card in the worship folder. After doing so, tear it off and bring it to the Information Center in the lobby to receive a complimentary gift bag and information about the ministries of our church.

Church Life

Upcoming Projects

The Board is currently researching the cost for window shades, additional hand railings, and floor coverings for the steps in the worship center. Vendors who specialize in commercial installations are being contacted and cost estimates are anticipated in the coming weeks. Your gifts toward these future projects may be designated “Building Completion” on your offering envelope.

Worship and the Word

Weekend March 14-16 | Student Center

Dave and Tara Powers, founders of Worship and the Word, will be with us to lead us in a weekend of worship, prayer and teaching. We invite our entire church family to plan to attend all or part of this weekend! Dave and Tara will lead us in prayer and worship on Friday night and all day Saturday. Please mark your calendars now and plan to attend this great weekend of prayer and worship. There is no cost. Contact Pastor Chris if you have questions.

Connect with Your World Feed My Starving Children Mobile Pack April 4 and 5 – Hope Church Sign your family up to serve at the Feed My Starving Children event on April 4 or 5. We are also looking for volunteers who would be willing to help with the event including set up and tear down. If you are interested in volunteering, please see Pastor Chris.

Men’s Ministry

Father/Son March Madness March 21-22 | Student Center Cost: $7.50 per person All fathers and sons (6 years and older) are invited to join us for our first March Madness event on March 21-22. We will be camping out in the student center, watching the NCAA tournament games, playing board games, eating pizza and hanging out with other guys from our church and community. The cost covers breakfast and lunch on Saturday. Bring sleeping bags, snacks and games to play! Come any time after 5:00 p.m. on Friday (eat before you come, or bring your supper along).

Men’s Retreat March 28-30 | Oak Forest Center

This year’s theme is appropriately named: “Spring Thaw - From Man of Ice to Man on Fire”. Are you looking forward to Spring and a little heat? Then take some time off from shoveling and worrying about ice dams, to enjoying a little r & r, some great worship and the Word from the book of Colossians, some tasty food, and of course great conversations with other guys. Grab a brochure at the Information Center, and sign up.

Women’s Ministry

Women’s Night Out Rescheduled- “Grace Unplugged” Friday, April 25 | 7:00 p.m.

The Women’s Night Out event, the showing of the movie “Grace Unplugged”, has been rescheduled. Please mark your calendars with the new date.

Student Ministry

This week we continue our look at the book of Colossians. If you want to read ahead, check out Colossians 4.

3rd Annual Easter Art Show April 13-27 Projects due Wednesday, April 9 Club 3:16 Children’s ministry will again host our annual Easter art show. Adults, families, teens and children are all encouraged to participate by creating a piece of artwork that depicts any aspect of Jesus’ life, death and resurrection. Artwork may include, but is not limited to: paint, sculpture, Lego creations, dioramas, poetry, needle arts, sewn items, woodworking, etc. There is no limit on the number of projects entered. Projects must be labeled with artist’s name. Projects can be turned into your child’s teacher or church Secretary.

Missions

HELP NEEDED-El Salvador Team Fundraiser

On April 6, The El Salvador Mission Team will be hosting a BBQ/Fellowship Auction following the morning services. We are currently collecting "fellowship items" to be auctioned. Past donations have been: a day at the lake, family game night, backyard BBQ, scrapbook weekend, etc. If you are interested in donating an item, please fill out a donation slip located at the information center.
