Transformation In Agriculture 1) Seven Farming God’s Way training seminars took place in local villages. Two of these villages were accessible only by motorbike and one of these villages was so remote that child as old as 7 had never seen a white man until Travis entered. 2) One remote village has sold over $500.00 worth of corn back to the ARC (which uses the corn as livestock fed). This transaction has allowed the village to send one young man to enroll as an agriculture student at LICC. The young man lives at the ARC, as he has no family in Ganta. Has completed his first semester. 3) Three training sites are expanding their farm fields because the locals are seeing profits from their harvests for the very first time. They understand the concept of staying in one place, using the same field, and using the same planting stations and utilizing the nutrients left over from previous crops. 4) Neighbors around LICC are now planting their small plots following FGW. 5) A tomato farm has expanded and is selling into wholesale/retail market. 6) An agriculture store opened in Ganta because a man who spent a lot of time at the ARC saw the market that the ARC generates in needing agriculture supplies 7) Exchanged 100 tilapia to producers to establish their own tilapia farm 8) Sold 12 pairs of rabbits for breeding and ensure education of rearing so producers will be successful, and six guinea pigs. 9) Sold five dozen poultry incubated eggs but not breeding pairs yet. 10) Sold two pairs of breeding chickens 11) Learned from failure: Goats cannot transit through Brussels unless it is a good day for the Chief Veterinarian. Helped develop policy for USDA on transitioning livestock into the USA that technically never left the custody of USA. 12) Increased goatherd by 8 babies but lost two nannies to some unknown illness.

Moloney had big dreams, he went to church, had a following on a national talk radio show and a friend in a US Senator. He needed all of this to bring him back home to his birth farm in Indiana after what United Airlines termed as a “failed mission”. Moloney could have done wonders for Liberia. He was to be the sire of the ARC’s goat herd, the ONLY milk goat herd in Liberia, but it was not a good morning in Brussels and the transit of Moloney became known as an illegal import. Moloney was to transit from the USA flight to the Liberia. He had all of his correct paperwork. Waiting on him in at the airport in Liberia was the Office of the Liberia President. Needless to say that did not happen and the rest, well that became USDA history, as Moloney was confiscated upon returning back to the USA, because Brussels kept his paperwork and again Moloney was deemed as an illegal entrant. Eventually everything worked out for Moloney and safely returned back to his home place in Indiana. As far as we know his frequent flier milers are still valid.

No Kidding Around For Moloney

) Held a successful first time ever in Nimba County, a Spiritual Warfare Conference in June. The event was attended by over 100 people made of pastors/elders from churches all around Nimba and into Monrovia. Out of this conference seven pastor leaders came forward to continue to train and guide the local churches to battle spiritual warfare. 2) By year-end, the pastors continued to keep alive the agenda of Spiritual liberation by having meetings and with prayer and fasting. They testified that because of the training from the seminar they gained courage and strength to carry on with the work of standing against the forces of evil. There are amazing testimonies of what God is doing. Two testimonies in particular are of two Zo’s (chief village devils) who have renounced their ways and surrendered to Christ. Pastor “X” narrated of how the village secret society hatched a plot to discredit him through false accusation of promiscuity and to create mistrust of the church. The village devil, being the man in charge of the plot also beat up and harassed his own wife severely for becoming a Christian. Many attempts to frustrate Pastor “X”’s church to close were made. The church was ordered to stop going for mid-week prayers and choir practice. They were also ordered to shorten their Sunday services. The village was preparing for a big event in August 2016, the initiation of the coming generation into the dark ways of the society. The church activities of prayers, word, worship and praises were making the preparations impossible. Eventually the village devil called the pastor, confessed that all the work of darkness were been rendered powerless and the village devil wanted the peace that was exhibited by his wife! Now the man is a member of the church! Pastor “J” comes from one of the villages that have successfully resisted the introduction of the gospel. After the Ganta Spiritual Warfare seminar, “J” felt the courage to plant a church. He has not only succeeded in planting it, but the village devil has renounced his dark ways and surrendered to Christ and joined that church! 3) In November a workshop was conducted with the above group of leaders and their wives to encourage and to strengthen them. 4) Worked with Donald Cassell on his Isoko training seminar. 5) Through out the year hosted 25 overnight visitors at the ARC. 6) Toured over 2,000 people in the fence of the ARC. 7) Positively economically impacted 1,909 people per month by the hiring of staff/labor at the ARC. 8) Engaging three different weekly Bible studies/devotional study. 9) Shared message/training at six different Churches in Liberia. 10) Continued to communicate specific prayer requests with an international prayer team. 11) Spoke at five different Churches in the USA. 12) Six fundraisers were held for the mission. 13) Sent out 10 newsletters. 14) Regularly updated the website and Facebook pages. 15) Assisted ULICAF in communicating newsletter information. 16) Continue to serve LICC in administration and education roles.

TRANSFORMATIONAL DOERS 2016 started off rough with the passing of Dr. Jim Milstead. After a brief battle with cancer, Dr. James Milstead age 62, died on March 11, 2016. Doc Milstead was a founder of this mission. His vision, his direction, and his faithfulness steered this mission from an idea, to a passion, to a tool to reach into the depths of the interior of Liberia and share the love of Christ.

Doc was transformational doer, all in for Jesus.

Liberia is a better place, and we are better people because Doc loved Jesus.

Karney Dunah (on the left) is no stranger to HITHMI; he has been a friend for several years and now a partner as he takes on the role of executive director of the United Liberia Inland Church Associates and Friends (the major funder for the Liberia International Christian College, LICC, where HITHMI operates). In October Dr. Nuwoe James Kiamu (on the right) became the interim President of LICC.

WHAT MAN MEANT FOR EVIL GOD USED FOR GOOD

In June a first in Nimba county took place, a conference on spiritual warfare. What happened before, during, and after, will someday fill a book until then, the best part. God was victorious as the sacrificial cotton wood trees came down in protest by the community devils and witches. Pastor Miaway’s Church made money by selling a semi plus full of wood. God smiled as Miaway took the funds to the bank to save for the future building of the Church.
