Welcome to our 2018 SC State Skeet Championship. I would like to invite each of you to join us for the 2018 South Carolina State Skeet Championships to be held at Partridge Creek Gun Club in Ridgeville, SC on August 24th through the 26th. We are looking forward to good weather, spirited competition, and a good chance to see all of our skeet friends from around the state. Our annual association meeting is scheduled for Friday evening (8/24) where we will be recognizing the 2018 All State team.
Please try to come for the meeting even if you cannot shoot with us that weekend. We look forward to seeing you in Ridgeville.

All money returned to class in doubles and each gauge. All money divided as follows:
1 to 5 competitors: winner takes all 6 to 10 competitors: split 60% - 40%
11 plus competitors: split 50% - 30% - 20%
20 Gauge Special Handicap: $10.00 per entry
One Winner Takes All
Shoot offs: AA – 410 A – 28 Ga B – 20 Ga C & D – 12 Ga.

TEAM INFORMATION
Two man teams may be composed of any SCSSA members.
They need not be from the same club or shoot on the same squad.
Five man teams will be formed by a blind draw, adjusted for
equality, from all SCSSA members shooting all four guns. The
drawing will be conducted Saturday morning, August 25, by the
SCSSA officers.

SHOOT OFFS
Ties for all honors, awards and purses will be resolved by shoot
offs - doubles from stations 3, 4, and 5. Miss and out by station.
HANDICAP TABLE
GENERAL
This is an NSSA registered shoot and will be conducted in
accordance with current NSSA rules. Shooters are responsible
for having their record cards up to date, including HOA and
HAA classification. NSSA enrollment will be available for
non-members.
All SC resident competitors must be SCSSA members. 2018
enrollment will be available for non-members. At the time of
registration, SCSSA will request 2018 dues ($20).
Qualified referees will be in charge of all shooting. Qualified
participants wishing to referee should contact Tom Smith via
email at [email protected] or 803-804-9512.
All protests must be filed in accordance with NSSA Protest
Rules. The 2018 SCSSA officers will serve as the Protest
Committee.
Participants must provide shells for all proofs and shoot offs.
SCSSA representatives reserve the right at any time, to alter
this program. They also reserve the right to refuse entry to, or
to discharge, participants whose behavior is not within the
spirit or the rules of this championship.

AWARDS
1. This will be an open shoot. All shooters are eligible for
NSSA honors and optional purses. Awards for the South
Carolina State Championship will be given to SCSSA
members only – except for 6. below.
2. Buckles will be awarded to champions and runners-up in
each event, HAA and HOA, Junior, Sub Junior and Lady
HOA champions.
3. Medals will be awarded to class champions and runners-up in
doubles, each gauge, HOA and all HOA concurrent
champions and runners-up except Junior, Sub Junior and
Lady.
4. Buckles will be awarded to “Champion of Champions” and
runner-up. The sum of the scores of the last box of shells
shot in each of the four gauges will determine the score.
Eligibility for participation requires the winning of a gun
championship at a South Carolina registered skeet shoot
since and including the 2017 State Championships.
5. Medals will be awarded to the Five Man Team and Two Man
Team HOA champions and runners-up. Plaques will be
awarded to Husband/Wife Team Champion and Runner-up.
6. Buckles will be awarded to the “Out of State” HOA champion
and runner-up.

2018 Class All-American Teams
Each year, NSSA identifies Class All-American teams for their
performance in the previous shooting year. This recognition program
determines teams on an objective system based on numbers only. The
first requirement for eligibility is that minimum registered targets must
be shot: 800 12-gauge, 500 20-gauge, 28-gauge, and .410 bore; and 300
doubles targets.
