Democratic Cities is an international meeting aimed for exploring the possibilities offered by participatory technologies, digital tools and collective processes that are transforming cities. The 2018 edition will be held in Madrid (23 of November) and Barcelona (28 of November), and will include different round tables to discuss important challenges such as democracy by lot, collective intelligence processes in the information age, urban governance and management of the commons and the future of direct democracy.

CONSUL is a tool that allows a city to develop with little time and safely processes of citizen participation on the Internet. CONSUL is free software, so it does not requires the payment of licenses. CONSUL can be modified by each organization to adapt the software to their needs, which facilitates the exchange of knowledge and experiences.

As a tool, CONSUL is allowing cities to de-velop processes that put into the hands of citizens decisions around urban space, the budget of the city or priorities in municipal management.
