2019 Annual Conference. All attendees, vendors, family,
and guests are encouraged to attend. The first major
networking opportunity of the meeting will not disappoint
as we kick back and start the meeting in style.

Monday, September 16th
Camden Yards, one of the most iconic sports arenas in
the nation, will play host to our attendees that would like
to experience the sights and sounds of Major League
Baseball. Opening pitch for the game between the
Baltimore Orioles vs. Toronto Blue Jays is at 7:05 pm.
This is an Optional Ticketed Event for meeting attendees.
The cost per ticket is $50.
We can’t go all in without the services and support of our
business partners. Join us Tuesday evening as we recognize
the value industry brings to the practice of orthopaedics
and the Bones of PA Annual Conference. Exhibitors will be
encouraged to bring raffle prizes to add to the fun. Please
bring plenty of business cards to increase your chances to

Lynn Anderanin, CPC, CPPM, CPC-I, COSC, is the Sr. Director of Coding Education for Healthcare Information Services, a physicians revenue cycle management company. She has over 30 years experience in all areas of the physician practice, and specializes in Orthopaedics. Lynn is currently a Workshop and Audio Presenter. She is a former member of the American Academy of Professional Coders (AAPC) National Advisory Board, and has served on several other boards for the AAPC. She is also the founder of her Local Chapter of the AAPC.
As a veteran of Digital Advertising and Social Media, Billy Ash provides digital strategy, creative and media solutions for leading brands. Leveraging 8+ years of digital experience, he has delivered award-winning digital advertising and social media programs for brands like Lightpath, The Cleveland Cavaliers, Barnabas Health, Edible Arrangements, Quicken Loans Arena, New Jersey Medical School and The Wet Brush.
Billy is a Managing Partner of Today’s Business, an award-winning digital advertising agency. As the agency’s chief digital officer, Billy is responsible for leadership of their digital media team comprised of 30+ leading digital professionals. He oversees operations and leads the business strategy to drive revenue and growth for the agency and their clients. Billy is also a Preferred LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter and Foursquare Ad Specialist running in the top 10% of ads for each platform since 2012.
Billy is the “Social Media Guru” in conducting consults for the many Business Networks. Billy helps business owners amplify their marketing efforts via social media and digital advertising. He is also an active speaker and columnist.

Thor Conklin is an Entrepreneur, Profitability Consultant and host of his daily podcast, Peak Performers Podcast. 2019 marks his 19th year as an entrepreneur. The first company Thor created was a global risk management consulting firm that served the private equity community. His top 15 clients had a combined revenue of $12.7 billion USD and operated in over 100 countries worldwide. His background, in risk management, served him well when he lost 1/3 of his team, in the World Trade Center attacks, on 9/11. Since that time, he has started, bought and sold several multi-million dollar businesses making him a sought after, cross-industrial resource for entrepreneurs and executives in all stages of business.

Lauren Faison is the service line administrator over regional development, population health and telemedicine at Tallahassee Memorial Hospital. She has been engaged with the health care system since 2012 leading a team to advance their presence in the evolving world of digital health, personalized medicine and population health management. In her role she has addressed a number of local, state and national organizations and institutions on how to effectively leverage telemedicine services to expand your reach and deliver services to different patient populations in a convenient and cost effective manner.

Ed works with executives and business owners who are struggling with people problems, such as adapting to changing business conditions and customer, investor, or community expectations.
He turns irrelevant and ineffective HR functions into strategic contributors by aligning HR with the business objectives. As a result, Human Resources actually drives business results. Ed’s clients often refer to him as their “HR Doctor,” because of his ability to quickly diagnose and treat the ailments in their workplaces.
When he’s not working with clients, Ed can be found teaching at Millersville University or speaking at conferences and professional development sessions. In his free time, Ed enjoys family time, travel, golf, the outdoors and Notre Dame and Baltimore Ravens football.

Robert Mac is a celebrity comedian based out of Washington, DC. He is best known as the Grand Prize Winner of Comedy Central’s national “Laugh Riots” competition and for his appearances on Comedy Central’s “Premium Blend” and NBC’s “Last Comic Standing”. He has shared the stage with Robin Williams, Adam Sandler, Larry the Cable Guy, Margaret Cho, Patton Oswalt, and Victoria Jackson.
Mac has also been seen on the stages of the inaugural Great American Comedy Festival, the Boston Comedy Festival, Montreal’s Just for Laughs Festival, and other highly acclaimed events throughout the country. A few years ago, Entertainment Business Journal ranked Mac in the top 100 stand-up comedians in the U.S. His signature “intelligently designed comedy” has audiences laughing and clapping for more.

Mike provides services for health care clients in multiple states throughout the country. As a principal in our health care group, he has many areas of expertise which include the development of health care delivery systems and multi-physician specialty organizations, and the negotiation of physician and hospital relationships. Mike also specializes in joint venture and merger analysis and transactions, strategic planning, buy-in and buy-out structuring and restructuring, development of governance structures and succession planning structures. In addition, Mike assists clients with income distribution methodology design and change management, new services development, ambulatory surgery center development and other physician and health system consulting needs.
Mike speaks on health care, accounting and practice management issues to physicians, hospitals and other medical organizations.
Mike believes that the key to success is to surround yourself with smart, capable people and then empower them to make full use of their talent and expertise.
Tom Murphy specializes in professional liability, workers’ compensation, Regulatory and Cyber coverage. He is an experienced risk management consultant, providing physicians and various medical entities with risk and claims management techniques for implementation. In addition, Tom performs malpractice claims studies for medical specialty societies and maintains an advisory position for various societies involving malpractice, cyber, workers’ comp insurance and claims. He is often a guest lecturer for various medical societies and associations.

Karl Norris is the Founder and CEO of DUOLARK LLC that provides a wide spectrum of business solutions for healthcare market segment. Their flagship product, the MED-DETECT Engine, creates a hyper-ledger enforced digitized “Master Data” patient record.
MED-DETECT can be used for auditing and reconciliation of EHR databases. It is used across the “healthcare continuum”.
Norris began his career with Great Plains Software, now Microsoft Dynamics 365. He has implemented more than 300 business enterprise sites including Arthrex, Monster.Com, Intuit and Jabil Circuits.
Norris was hired by Check Point Software, the creator of Firewall technology, to assist with business development of enterprise wide security solutions in Florida and the English-speaking Caribbean.
Having both a business and information security background with over 20 years of experience makes a unique combination to help in the medical sector defend and protecting their business.
A former member of the United States Air Force, Norris ~ who is a service-disabled veteran ~ worked in Special Forces with the Cryptology and Intelligence sectors.
He is currently involved with the FBI’s InfraGard in a similar role working with the Intelligence Sector to identify rogue states exploiting EHR data. He was granted an Elevated Top-Secret Clearance and currently holds multiple security certifications and is a CISSP Candidate. Norris understands the strengths and weaknesses of Electronic Healthcare Records and shares the challenge to make usability better for everyone.

She is an accomplished nonprofit professional with healthcare and association experience. Vicki Sprague has more than 15 years of experience in program evaluation and outcomes management. She is passionate about helping organizations turn data into information that can be used for decision making and quality improvement. Sprague has a Doctorate in social psychology and expertise in data analysis, research methods, logic model development, and communicating results. She has successfully implemented data analytics and outcome evaluation programs and worked in collaboration with organizational and industry leaders to promote the effective use of data in a variety of settings. Sprague has shared results through a variety of presentations, reports, and publications.
Andrew Tessier is Director of Business Development for Signature Medical Group, Inc., a multi-specialty group of 160 physicians in 17 specialties and almost 1,000 employees in St. Louis, Kansas City and rural Missouri. Signature has 63 orthopedists providing services in all orthopedic sub-specialties including total joint replacement, sports medicine and pediatric. Over the past 15+ years, Andrew has worked in a variety of health care areas developing and managing physician group projects, information technology and commercial bundled payments. Most recently Andrew has focused on programs and opportunities within CMMI (Center for Medicare and Medicaid Innovation) including Signature’s Awardee Convener Bundled Payment for Care Improvement (BPCI) and BPCI Advanced initiatives. These programs encompass 1,900 orthopedic physicians and 150,000+ clinical episodes throughout 40 states in 84+ cities. Andrew received his MBA from Saint Louis University.
