Uconnect® 4C NAV2 multimedia centre. It features the Largest-in-Class3

CONFIDENCE TAKES HOLD WITH ADVANCED SAFETY AND SECURITY
LANE DEPARTURE WARNING WITH LANE KEEP ASSIST13 This available feature provides a visual
and steering wheel-movement warning should the system detect that the vehicle is drifting outside
of lane boundaries or the driver’s hands are off the wheel.
ELECTRONIC STABILITY CONTROL (ESC)14 A vehicle-wide network of standard safety sensors
provides instant aid should it detect you’re veering off your intended path. ESC14 coordinates
Electronic Roll Mitigation, Hill Start Assist, the antilock brake system and Advanced Brake Assist,
all-speed traction control, and Trailer Sway Control, sending them into action when needed.
RAIN-SENSING AND INTERMITTENT WINDSHIELD WIPERS Storm clouds hold little influence over
your daily drive. Front wipers activate when raindrops are detected with this available system,
and can be set to slower, intermittent speeds as conditions change.
FORWARD COLLISION WARNING WITH ACTIVE BRAKING13 This available system has sensors that
can detect when your vehicle may be approaching another vehicle too rapidly and send an audible
and visual alert to the driver, along with providing a brake jerk warning from Advanced Brake Assist
if the driver does not react in time.
PARK-SENSE® REAR PARK ASSIST SYSTEM13 Compass can help you park and back out with ease. This available system uses rear
ultrasonic sensors to determine relative distance to objects in your back-up pathway. Read-outs in the
in-cluster display and an audible warning notify you of rear- object proximity.
BLIND-SPOT MONITORING AND REAR CROSS-PATH DETECTION13 These available systems
monitor the space between you and other drivers. When a side or rear blind spot is encroached,
you’re notified via illuminated icons on sideview mirrors or an audible chime.
ADAPTIVE CRUISE CONTROL WITH STOP AND GO13 This available system uses radar and video sensors to automatically adjust your cruising speed based
on a preset speed and vehicle distance setting. In certain conditions, such as stop-and-go traffic, the
system is able to bring the vehicle to a complete stop without any driver intervention, then prompts
the driver to press the Resume button or tap the accelerator to re-engage to safe-range speeds.
PARKVIEW® REAR BACK-UP CAMERA13 WITH DYNAMIC GRID LINES Back out safely with grace.
This system helps bring previously hidden rear objects to your attention on screen in good time to
react. Standard.
PASSIVE ENTRY As part of the available Keyless Enter ’n Go,TM this feature automatically unlocks the
door upon your grabbing the handle, provided the key fob is within 1.5 metres of your vehicle. Press a
small button on either front door to lock all doors and the liftgate.

SELEC-TERRAIN® TRACTION MANAGEMENT SYSTEM
With the turn of a dial, you can match your capability to the road conditions ahead. Every
Compass equipped with an available Jeep® 4x4 system arrives with a Jeep Selec-Terrain®
Traction Management System as well, adding even more confidence to tackle Mother Nature’s
toughest conditions.
A variety of settings helps deliver ultimate driving stability by coordinating 12 vehicle
systems, including throttle control, transmission shifting, transfer case, traction control
and Electronic Stability Control.14 Choose from up to five sure-footed modes: Auto,
Snow, Sand, Mud and, exclusively on Trailhawk,® Rock.
AUTO When turned to this mode, Selec-Terrain does all the work, automatically
adjusting vehicle dynamics to best suit the road. To help ensure optimal efficiency,
the rear driveline disengages when not needed.
SNOW Adjusts for ultimate performance over snow- and ice-covered roads
by maximizing vehicle stability and minimizing oversteer. Major systems
auto-engaged and managed in this mode include antilock brakes and
traction control.
SAND The system converts to a uniquely calibrated Sand mode that
utilizes aggressive throttle and upshift points to tackle looser, sand-
covered surfaces.
MUD Maximizes low-speed traction by allowing additional wheel-
slip via specifically tuned chassis controls, differentials and
transmission ratios that are geared to successfully tackle mud.
ROCK Delivers Trail Rated® 4WD Low capability thanks to
its rear-differential locking element, allowing you to crawl
over rugged terrain at appropriately safe speeds.

a disconnecting rear axle that can actively transition from 4x4 into fuel-saving
