01/09/2019: Inauguration of Beauty Parlor Training Center at Village Raipur Mandlan Janhit Samiti opened a beauty parlor training center at village Raipur Mandlan on 01/09/2019. The center was commissioned in own building named Janhit Samiti Bhawan and was inaugurated by Padam Shree Sh. Vijay Kumar Chofra Chief Editor of Hind Sarnachar Group. This center was opened on the advice of Sh. Vijay Kumar Chofra. This will provide education to poor/needy girls for self-employment. Other distinguished guests were Smt. Satinder Kaur Walia, Sh. Rajesh Panjola Chief Barseau PK Sub Centre Patiala. Dr. Sudhir Verma, Dr. Ashutosh Nirda, Sh. Pawan Kumar Gupta President Shiv Sena Hindustan, Sh. Mohan Parkash Gupta, Sh. Rajeev Garg, h. Sat Parkash, Sh. Sunda Lal, Sh. Saitsh Kumar, Sh. Kamaldeep Singh Dhand, Sh. Manjeev Singh Kaleka. During the function 2 computers were inaugurated by Sh. Chofra Jee in the training center in the same building. Sh. Vijay Chofra jee applauded the efforts by Janhit Samiti to serve humanity through different projects.

13/01/2019: Celebration of Lohri Festival. Janhit Samiti organized a cultural program to celebrate Lohri festival on 13/01/2019 in Children Park Baradar Gardens. Artists from North Zone Cultural Center, International Artist Mo Vijay Shah, Students of Sant Ram Nand Public School, Masli Di Pathshala, Matha Guhri Trust Kallar Hani and Bharti Sewa Samlate participated. Gidda + bhangra + folk dances were performed by two artists. Our motto was save the girl child, provide education to girls. Chief guest was Sh Sanjee Sharma(Bittoo) Mayor Patiala Woolen Jerseys were also distributed to needy students of masti Dr. Pethshalla. A handmade crown was given to Sh. B.S. Saini Patron by students of Masti Di Pathshala as honour for his extraordinary work to promote poor students.

17/02/2019: Blood Donation Camp & Free Medical Check Up Camp Janhit Samiti organized a Blood Donation Camp and a free medical checkup camp on 17/02/2019 to celebrate Shiv Ratri Festial. Venue was Juice Factory Baradari Gardens Patiala. In the Blood Donation Camp 52 units were collected by Govit Rajindra Hospital Blood Bank. In the medical checkup camp, free tests for ECG, BP, Blood Sugar, B.M.D tests were performed by Amar Hospital Staff and doctors. Chief Guest was Sh. K.K. Malhotra President Dist. Congress Committee (Urban). Other eminent guests were Dr. Manjit Singh Chief Medical Officer, Sh. Ajay Singh DyGM. OBC, Sh. Mohinder Guglani AGM OBC. Support was provided by Power House Youth Club & Department of Horticulture. 27/02/2019: Celebration of World NGO Day Janhit Samiti celebrated world NGO day on 27/02/2019 in All India Bank Employees trade union office Parbhat Parwana House Patiala. During the function a pledge was taken to work unitedly to serve the humanity and needy ones. Sh. S.S. Chhabra and others explained the necessity of NGO’s in the world. It was decided to hold two functions every year. Sh. B.S. Saini Senior Patron of the Samiti was honored seeing his dedication towards humanity despite the fact he is suffering from serious illness. 17/03/2019: 7th Patiala Half Marathon Janhit Samiti organized its 7th Patiala Half Marathon on 17/03/2019. It commenced from Rajindra Gym and Club Baradari Gardens. Events includes 21km, 10km, 5km, 2.5km, 1km, heritage and fun walk. More than 1800 participants took part in the event. Winners in all categories were honored. First three in men and first 3 in women were awarded cash awards. All the participants in 10km and 21km were honored with medals. International player Sh. Akhil Kumor Arjuna Awardee, Navjeet Kaur Dhillon bronze medalist common wealth games, Sh. Arminder Singh gold medalist Asian Games blessed all the participants and motivated them for better health. Our mottos were; Awareness regarding health and environment, save girl child make Punjab drug free, go-green clean India and Patiala.

Organizers were State Bank of India, IMA, Raj Vehicles with many other likeminded agencies. Chief guest was Sh. Surinder Rama GM SBI. Other guests were Sant Amrit Kaur SBI, Vijay Shanbagh Dy Gm Patiala Module, Vinod Arora AG NG OBC, Karnail Singh Inspector Traffic Police and many other dignities were present. Cultural program: A cultural program was also organized on which artists from North Zone Cultural Center performed Giddha + Bhangra. International Artist: Sh. Vijay Shah, Sh. Balbir Bojari Suger, entertained the gatherings. All praised the event. 07/07/2019: Special drive to plant saplings/trees in and around Baradari Garden. On 07/07/2019 a special drive was commenced to make Patiala green and clean. 29 varieties of plants were collected and planted in Baradari & around Baradari. On the very first day of the drive 11000 plants were planted by different teams of Janhit Samiti, Power House Youth Club with the guidance of Department of Horticulture. Chief guests were Sh. Mhan Pankash Gupta, Sh. Mohan Lal Kataria, Sh. Krishan Gopal, Sh. Gurpreet Singh, Jaggi Sweets, S. Manjigt Singh Kaleka. With this drive Janhit Samiti also commenced Gha Ghar Harylali Mission by distributing tree guards and plants to other agencies.

07/07/2019: Inauguration of Washroom Complex in Children Park On the motivation and request by Janhit Samiti Dr. Dharamrees Gandhi M.P. Lok Sabha allotted funds of 2 lakhs for the constructions of washrooms in Children Park. This was a long pending demand. Department of Horticulture constructed the washroom. Janhit Samiti provided the latest modern facilities in the washroom. The inauguration was performed by Sh. Sanjaan Kumav Sharma (Bittoo) Mayor Patiala, Sh. Manjeet Singh Brar SP. Janhit Samiti assured that the maintenance of this washroom will also be done by the Samiti. Our washroom is already being maintained by Janhit Samiti in main Baradari area. 28/07/2019: General Body Meeting & Election General Body of Janhit Samiti was held on 28/07/2019. In the general body meeting, various points were discussed to improve the working. Committees were formed for smooth working. On the election Sh. S.K.G aatam was nominated as President, Shri Vmod Sharma as General Secretary, and B.S. Saini as Patron. All the office bearers of Governing Council and Members of Executive Body were also elected. The executive body was elected for 2 years. An advisory body was also announced.

15/08/2019: Blood Donation Camp + Free Medical Checkup Camp. To celebrate Independence Day, Janhit Samiti with the cooperation of Power House Club + Department of Horticulture organized Blood Donation Camp and Free Medical Check Up Camp on 15/08/2019. Venue was Juice Factory Baradari Gardens Patiala. The camp started at 7:30 AM. In the blood donation camp, Govit Medical College Blood Bank collected 32 units. In the medical checkup camp, ECG, BMD, blood sugar, and BP tests were performed for 250(App) patients. Results were on the spot.

Chief guest in the camp was Sh. V.K. Arora SBI. Other eminent guests were Sh. K.K. Malhotra President Dist. Congress Committee (Urban), Dr. Jatinder Kausal health officer. During the function, sewing machines were distributed to 2 needy girls. Donation of Rs 20,000/- by Sh. Mohan Pankeh Garg, Rs 2000/- was donated by Ashok Goyal, Rs 2000/- as donated by Sh. Balbir Singh Saini in the function.

18/8/2019: Plantation of Trees in Schools. Underspecial drive of Ghar Gharh Helyali Mission, Janhit Samiti planted trees in and around Police DAV Public School, and Govit Senior Secondary School Pheeel Khana. On addition the samiti planted trees in and around Poto Ground or Lower Mall. A water cooler was also installed in Pheel Khana school. The cooler was donated by Sh. Sunda Lal through Janhit Samiti. The inauguration of water cooler was done by Sh. Pawan Kumar President Shiv Sene Punjab. On the same day, 100 plants were distributed to people at Rajpura. These plants were donated by Sh. Manjeet Singh Advisor of Janhit Samiti. With this it was told that app. 3000 plants have been planted by Samiti under Ghar Ghar Hariyali, Mission Tandru sat Punjab and Go Green India.

2019: Free Medical Checkup Camp Janhit Samiti organized a free medical checkup camp in baradari garden with the cooperation of MAX. Hospital. On the camp tests for ECG, BP, Blood Sugar, and BMD were performed on more than 200 patients. Results were given on the spot. Free consultation was also provided. Aim of these medical checkup camps is to create awareness among citizens of Patiala and keep them healthy. Chief Guest was Dr. Jaji Singh Matharu. Other guests were Sh. Rohit Sharma GM(BSNL). Sh. Matharu explained how to save from a fava named DENGU. Precautions regarding Dengu were also explained. Artist and Singer Sh. Harpal Mann, Modam Satya Kansd, Sh. Nirmal Singh sung songs to entertain the patients.
