AUSTIN

People will come from around the globe to visit Austin because it’s a great place to spend some weeks in this city. They can go to Downtown Austin were they can go and eat at some of the best restaurants in the United States. They can also shop at some of the most fantastic shop areas in Austin.

WHAT MAKES IT A CENTRALIZED LOCATION?

It makes it a centralized location because everything is focus in Downtown Austin. Everything builds up towards Downtown Austin. Heavy traffic going in and out of the city, the population density.

STRENGTHS AND WEAKNESSES

Austin has the capability to offer a diverse array of activities and entertainment options in a technologically advanced social setting. Some of the weaknesses is that it needs more hotels for the people that are coming. Also Austin needs to improve in their transportation area. And their route weaknesses.

HOW DO YOU OVERCOME THOSE WEAKNESSES?

Austin will need the help of companies to build more hotels in Austin and the surroundings of Austin like Cedar Park. Also begin work on highways. Technological integration, with electrification, would solve several problems in solving a faster railroad route.

OPENING CEREMONY

The opening ceremony of the 2020 summer Olympics games will take place on the evening of Friday 27 July in the Darrell K Royal – Texas Memorial Stadium. This is good location since it is the largest stadium in Austin. The capacity of the stadium is 100,119, there are some projects that it can increase between 115,000 and 125,000 seats.

CLOSING CEREMONY

The closing ceremony of the Austin 2020 Summer Olympics will be held on the 12 of August in the Darrell K Royal – Texas Memorial Stadium. One of the many events will be the parade of the athletes. SWIMMING EVENTS

The swimming competitions at the 2020 Olympic Games in Austin will take place from 28 July to 4 August at the Lee and Joe Jamail Texas Swimming Center. The main pool, used for competitive swimming, which is 50 meters long by 25 yards wide and is 9 feet deep. Considered one of the fastest pools in the world due to its depth, gutter system, high filtration rate, and lane width. FIELD/ OUTDOOR EVENTS

Baseball games are played at UFCU Disch–Falk Field. Soccer games can be played at Darrell K Royal – Texas Memorial Stadium. Track and field could be held at Mike A. Myers Stadium and Soccer Field. Capacity of more than 20,000 fans. OLYMPIC VILLAGE

The location of the Olympic village will be at Zilker Metropolitan Park. There will be much work to do. Austin 2020 Olympics games VIP event

MASCOT

The target market will be for kids under 16 years old. The inspiration behind the design was that when I read the significance of the mascots of the 2002 winter Olympics, which was held in the state of Utah. It said that all three mascots are indigenous animals of the state of Utah and I decided to do the same but know for the state of Texas. Named after a natural resource of Texas.

The purpose of Austin 2020 app is to facilitate the fans on the events. It will have the date and time of all the competitions. Also it will have the stadium or venue where it will be. It will have information on the athletes and teams. It will also have the distance of the games that are been playing. And the prices of the tickets. It will show special events that will be during the Olympics.
