not damper this family’s hope for the season. Visit and see just how resourceful they can be!

Vieregg CabinChristmas is a little simpler on the plains than in the town, but visitors will notice that this modest home

is no less joyful this season!

Stolley HouseIt’s Christmas time and many chores have yet to be finished. The presents have been carefully hidden.

Bell Cottage (Henry Fonda Birthplace)The all-important Christmas piano recital is very soon and the children are practicing in the parlor, while

others in the house discuss the season.

Peter Stuhr HouseMiss Shaneyfelt and Mrs. Butler are putting their heads and cooking talents together to plan some holi-day magic for their families. If you ask, perhaps they’ll let you peek in one of the Christmas packages!

Lesher HouseMrs. Nelson is quite excited now that she has a new roof on the house because this means that her new kitchen range will be installed soon!

Several relatives have stopped by for a visit to discuss matters of the day, as Mrs. Nelson’s opinion is highly sought!

Milisen HouseThe dining table has been tastefully arranged for a simple holiday meal following the latest guidelines

in the Ladies Home Journal, and preparations for the great day are ongoing in the parlor.

Planing MillThe gentlemen in the mill are busy trying to keep warm and fill Christmas orders. Visitors can make

and take the newest train car or an old favorite for $5 each.

General Mercantile EmporiumThe Mercantile is packed with unique Christmas items, perfect for those hard-to-shop-for people on your list, even including handmade items by

Railroad Town’s own tradesmen!

Town HallKids can visit Father Christmas and make old-fashioned paper chain decorations!

are underway, but one present has already arrived!

Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran ChurchThe Ladies Circle is preparing for the annual Christmas service and

music can be heard here!

Special ActivitiesDecember 3: Member’s Night

Railroad Town BandstandJoin us at 7:00 p.m. for our treelighting ceremony and Christmas carols. The tree will be lit with real

candles, so this activity is weather-permitting for safety reasons.

Leo B. Stuhr BuildingThe Stuhr Museum Foundation will host an ornament-making activity for members.

December 4: Descendants of DeWitty Holiday Program

Leo B. Stuhr BuildingThe Descendants of DeWitty will present a short holiday program at 6:00 p.m.

and will be around all evening sharing even more Christmas memories!
