The North Collins High School held their Carnival and Chinese Auction on Saturday, March 2nd in the High School Gym. There were games, food and prizes. NORTH COLLINS ELEMENTARY SCHOOL HOSTS MOVIE NIGHT

North Collins Elementary School PTA hosted Family Movie Night on March 8, 2013 with a showing of “Wreck It Ralph”. The students, parents and grandparents filled North Collins Elementary School Cafeteria and turned it into a theater with freshly made popcorn and bottled water as a snack. Students were encourages to wear their PJ and slippers for comfort. We had 102 students present that were entered into a drawing for DVD copies of the movie. Congratula-tions go to Cianna Tobia and Taylor Phillips they were our lucky winners. Thank you to our event coordinators Heather Jasinski, PTA President and Monica Shultz, PTA Vice-President. The PTA also collect electronic recycling items of ink-jets, cell phones, laptops, laser cartridges, and other small electronic items for recycling as part of the “Recycling Rumble” going on through April 30, 2013. Funds raised by recycling allow our PTA to sponsor Family Fun Events provided free to the community of North Collins. BENEFIT HELD FOR THE PROUDMAN FAMILY

Hundreds of friends and family gathered at the Eden American Legion on Sunday, March 10th to help the Proudman family. Their twin sons, Zachary and Dominic have been diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy and Periventric-ular Leukomalcia. The twins recently came back from the Kennedy Krieger Pediatric Feeding program at St. John Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, MD. Both twins have been through several surgeries and have g-tubes inserted. The support was great, and all our thoughts and prayers go out to the Proudman family. The family consists of dad Justin, mom Marie, twins Zach and Dom and little brother Jason. The twins will be 11 on March 21st. VISITOR! Michael Smaldino's Grandma, Marise Clark visited Mrs. Hill's fourth grade class at Southtowns Catholic School. The students listened intently at she told of her journey to America from Ireland. While the class was eating homemade scones and drinking tea, Mrs. Clark showed off her unique keepsakes from Ireland. The stu-dents even learned a traditional Irish song called, Molly Malone. It was an exciting afternoon!
