Beloved wife of Robert Cyril Davis. Much loved mother of Judy (Larry) Stipancic, Randy (Ruth) Davis, Kyle (Karen) Davis all of Burlington and Rowan (Anna) Davis of Michigan. Cherished grandmother of Carly Stipancic, Patterson, Evan, Clay, Emma, Chesley, Kirsten and Wesley Davis and Ché Hamm. Dear sister of Edna (Wilfie) Rowan and sister in law of Audrey and Jean Patterson and Emily Davis. Laura is also lovingly remembered by her many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents, Walter and Sarah (nee Baxter) Patterson, parents in law Thomas and Ellen (nee Matthews ) Davis, siblings Walter and Trevor Patterson, brothers in law Bill and Jack Davis and sadly daugh- ter in law Heather (nee Barclay) Davis. Laura was born in Belfast, Northern Ireland on April 7, 1930. In her younger years, Laura co-owned a successful beauty salon with her sister in Ireland. After immigrating to Canada with her husband and daughter in 1956, her focus was on family and community service. In later years, Laura was a guiding force in her growing family and known for her memorable dinner parties and her passion for music and dancing. She was always immaculately turned out, thanks to her great sense of style and time dedicat- ed to the gym. Laura will be sadly missed by special friend Joan, extended family and friends in Canada, Great Britain and Australia, and her 9 adoring grandchil- dren who appreciated her love of play and her generosity. Always a candy for the kids and remembered by many for her warm smile and willingness to help. Special thanks to Drs. Sansome, Kim and Ruo, the nursing staff at McMaster and the nursing staff and volunteers at The Carpenter Hospice. Private cremation has taken place. He is forever in our hearts and minds and will be missed beyond imagination. Dad / Papa has left us to join for eternity, the love of his life Edna, his wife of 53 years, after a very short separation. He will be missed by his children Deb Richardson, Dorothy Tyrrell, Doug and Lisa Tyrrell and Dawn and Dan Scarrow and his "Darlin's", who are now left to carry on Nanny and Papa's legacy: Becky and Jeremy, Kate, Sarah and Amy. Never to be forgotten for their close bond by his siblings: Eileen and Bill Van Mol, Bea and Roy Lawrence, Dorothy and the late Harold Tyrrell and Judy and the late Bruce Tyrrell and all his devoted nieces and nephews. Dad lived his life with honesty, integrity, courage and humility until his last breath. He and Mom leave behind a legacy of perseverance and determination, even in the face of adversity. We draw upon their courage and unconditional love to hold us safe and keep us strong. Visitation was on Thursday, October 4th from 2 - 4 p.m. and 7 - 9 p.m. at the Glen Oaks Memorial Chapel & Reception Centre, 3164 Ninth Line (Dundas/403) in Oakville, 905-257-8822. A celebration of Ed's life will be held on Friday, October 5th at 2:30 p.m. in the Glen Oaks Chapel followed by a reception with the family.
