Time. St i l l on i t creeps,Each l i t t le moment at another 's heels,Till hours, !ays, 1i€ars, and ages are made upOf such small parts as these, and men look backWorn and bewildered, wondering how i t is.Thou trav'llest like a ship in the wide ocean,Which hath no bounding shore to mark its progress.

Beyond this page you will find "THE INSIDE sroRy" of thosewho have endeavored to reach this pinnacle of their education aswell as their 1ife. Having come to the end of this road, we havefound that i t is not a dead end, but a crossroad. we.must choosethat one road which we wish to travel. Although the choice is easy, the road is definitely harder to travel. our ye"ars at union havebeen ones 9f ioy, success, anxiety and even a bit of disappointment. They have been the profound years in which we expressed-what wewanted or what we hoped to do in life. we have proved that wecan achieve these goals through hard and continuous work. wehope that for those who pauselo view this annual in times yer rocome may find in depth "THE INSIDE sroRy" of those therein.

Sincerely

Abraham R. Carter, Editor

PRINCIPAL'S ME,SSAGE,Class of 1968, I congratulate you for your successful beginning in your effort

to cross the bridge between unpreparedness and preparedness, for bridges con-

nect. They enable people to move from height to height, and to reach a chosendestinatioir. f igutitively, we need a bridge between us and our aspirations, be-

tween ourselvei and ouf acquaintances, between people and their leaders, andbetween nation and nation. These bridges lead from fear, suspicion and distrustto faith and confidence. We must build such bridges, and each of us must learnhow to build his own.

You who are graduating are crossing the bridge between adolescence and

maturity. Comrnencemeni makes you a freshman again--a freshman adult. Nowyou -urt scan the map of life and select a destination. You want to 'get some-

*h"t" in }ife", and you must travel the road that bridges the chasms of discour-

agement and doubt. Remember always that competance comes from the desire

tdpossess it , but i t is the pressure that you put onyourself which measuresall that you accomplish.

e good bridge depends for strength on its design, its components_, and its

craftJmanshipl The design is your plan of life; the components are lcrowledge, compassion, sincerity anO integrity while the quality of workmanship dependson you.

build a bridge to your life's ambition. Be sure that there is a bridge to thepeople you -""1t. Join others in building a bridge between America and the otherNations of the World.

One more thing, when your bridge is built, CROSS IT.
