Opportunities for further collaboration with
• Transform• USP2030• Socialprotection.org
Agreements:• Need for active dissemination of ISPA tools by partner agencies,
including integrating ISPA tools into ISPA partners trainings• The real audience for LEARNING is not in HQs, it is in the field: Focus
on creating capacity in the field - training local consultants andresearch/academic institutions that can apply the tools
Exec. Group decision: Dissemination letter will be send to ISPA partners to encourage them to carry out interagency applications at the country level
Results Tracking StudyObjective: To have an independent assessment to track the results of the initiative from its inception in 2012 to date. Focus is to have a critical retrospective of both the successes and failures of the ISPA initiative at the aggregate level; and thereby on the lessons learnt: what works well, what does not, and what needs to be improve in the design, implementation arrangements, and the Results Framework (RF) for the continuation of the initiative.
Aim: • To have a better understanding of the process of application of ISPA tools • To shed light on the effects that their application is having in the development/improvement/reform of social
protection policies and programs in countries• To understand what is the effect of ISPA on promoting coordination among ISPA agencies and country-SP
agencies/ministries• Identify the challenges that are faced in the application of the tools• To suggest improvements on tool design and process of application
Funding: Co-funded by GIZ-DFATExec. Group decision: Agencies encouraged to nominate consultants to have a short list of experts by mid February

Report & Account
$ 200.000 deficit to fund:- Gender mainstreaming module- South-south learning event- E-Learning strategy- tools enhancement- Awareness and outreach
Main takeways• Need to reactivate the role (and funding) for working groups – exchange of
experiences to explore opportunities to improve tools
• 2019 will be mainly devoted for tool development and to reflect back on progress
• Take up of tools is growing – but it is necessary to: i) avoid development of parallel tools, ii) better tracking of applications, iii) join efforts on dissemination (internal and external) iv) commitment for interagency applications in our own agencies
• Results tracking study will give us more insights on how to serve countries and social protection teams (and how to improve existing tools)
• Promote synergies among existing interagency initiatives (USP2030, TRANSFORM, socialprotection.org, etc.)- mutual collaboration
• In governance structure - explore rotation of Ex. Group members
