DETAILED ITINERARY

DAY 1 – KEFLAVÍK – REYKJAVÍK

Morning after breakfast, check-out from the hotel and proceed to Reykholt. Enroute visit the beautiful Hraunfossar Waterfalls. The waterfalls pour into the Hvítá river from ledges of less porous rock in the lava. Also visit Barnafoss – this is also known as Bjarnafoss, which was its previous name. Barnafoss is near Hraunfossar which burst out of Hallmundarhraun which is a great lava plain. Barnafoss is on the river Hvítá in Borgarfjörður. Further visit Into the Glacier - Into the Glacier is offering access to the largest manmade ice tunnel in the world. The ice tunnel and the caves are located high on Iceland‘s second largest glacier, Langjökull. Further drive Reykholt. Arrive, check-in at the hotel and relax. Overnight in Reykholt.

DAY 2 – REYKJAVIK – INTO THE GLACIER – REYKHOLT

Arrive at Keflavik airport and after clearing customs and immigration we precede towards Reykjavik. Proceed for check in at Hotel. Reykjavik, on the coast of Iceland, is the country's capital and largest city. Overnight at Reykjavik.


DAY 3 – REYKHOLT – HOT SPRING - AKUREYRI

After breakfast at the hotel, check-out and proceed to Diamond Circle. The Diamond Circle is a popular tourist route around Húsavík and Lake Mývatn in North Iceland.The four primary stops on the route are The town of Húsavík, Ásbyrgi Canyon, Lake Mývatn and Dettifoss Waterfall, the most powerful waterfall in Europe. Other stops include Vatnajökull National Park, Goðafoss Waterfall, Dark Castles, Eider Falls, The Whispering Cliffs and Laugar. The Diamond Circle covers an area rich in volcanic and geothermal features. The Diamond Circle Society is a non-profit organization that works to promote and protect the Diamond Circle and surrounding areas in North Iceland. Further proceed to East Fjord. Arrive, check-in at the hotel and relax. Overnight stay at East Fjord.

DAY 4 – AKUREYRI – DIAMOND CIRCLE – EAST FJORD

After breakfast proceed to experience Deildartunguhver hot spring. It is characterized by a very high flow rate for a hot spring and water emerges at 97 °C. It is the highest-flow hot spring in Europe. Further proceed for Whale watching (optional) - incredible experience of humpback whales in the longest and most beautiful glacier fjord in Iceland. Experience the stunning nature and wildlife of Akureyri and Eyjafjord. Overnight at Akureyri.


DAY 5 – EAST FJORD – GLACIER LAGOON – DIAMOND BEACH – SKAFTAFALL – VATNAJÖKUL

After breakfast at the hotel, check-out and proceed to Reynisfjra. Visit Black sand beach & Basalt Stone. Reynisfjara is a world-famous black-sand beach found on the South Coast of Iceland, just beside the small fishing village of Vík í Mýrdal. With its enormous basalt stacks, roaring Atlantic waves and stunning panoramas, Reynisfjara is widely considered to be the most beautiful example of Iceland's black sand beaches. Further proceed to visit DC Plane Wreck You may have Watched the Move Dilwale by Now Anyway, there was this song ‘Gerua‘ stoot on this location, Later proceed towards Seljalandsfoss Waterfall & Skógafoss Waterfall. Further drive to Hella area. Arrive, check-in and relax. Overnight stay in Hella area.

DAY 6 – VATNAJÖKUL – REYNISFJRA – BLACK SAND BEACH - DC PLANE WRECK –WATERFALL – HELLA AREA

After breakfast, check-out from the hotel and proceed to visit Glacier Lagoon - It is known as the Water Glacier in English, is the largest and most voluminous ice cap in Iceland, and one of the largest in area in Europe. A glacier is a persistent body of dense ice that is constantly moving under its own weight; it forms where the accumulation of snow exceeds its ablation over many years, often centuries. Further visit Diamond Beach, Enjoy Amphibian Boat ride - The excursion takes 30–40 minutes and includes an English speaking guide who explains to you the geology and facts of the lagoon. Further drive to Vatnajökul. Arrive, check-in at the hotel and relax. Overnight stay at Vatnajökul.


DAY 7 – HELLA AREA – GOLDEN CIRCLE – HELLA AREA

Morning after breakfast, check-out from the hotel and drive to Reykjavik. Arrive and proceed to Blue Lagoon – this is a geothermal spa is one of the most visited attractions in Iceland. The spa is located in a lava field in Grindavík on the Reykjanes Peninsula; southwestern Iceland in a location favourable. Further proceed for Reykjavik Orientation City tour visiting Hveragerði, Hallgrímskirkja church, Perlan, Höfði house, the old town center & harbor, Harpa Music Hall. Later check- in at the hotel. Overnight stay in Reykjavik

DAY 8 – HELLA AREA – BLUE LAGOON – CITY TOUR – REYKJAVIK

After breakfast, today we go on Golden Circle route, where we will visit Thingvellir National Park. The park is a place of great beauty located on the biggest lake of Iceland (Silfra Lake). where the Tectonic Plates of North America and Euro Asia continent drifts apart each year. The park is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. We continue our journey towards Geysir - home to the Littli Geysir & the great Strokkur Geyser which erupts about every 8 Minutes. Then we visit Gullfoss Waterfall, one of the most impressive waterfall in Europe that falls in two folds. At the end of the day return to Hella area. Overnight at Hella Area.


DAY 9 – HELLA AREA – GOLDEN CIRCLE – HELLA AREA

After breakfast at the hotel, check-out and transfer to the airport. Board your flight to onward destination. Tour ends with Sweet Memories of Iceland with Gem Tours & Travels
