FILL THE BOAT CAMPAIGN UNDERWAY-We

learned in Bible School how Jesus helped the disciples

fill the nets with a “billion fish” (As Charlie told the

story). Those fish helped feed a lot of hungry people.

So we too (With help from Jesus) are going to fill out

boat with food to help feed hungry people. Please

bring in your non perishable food items and place

them in the boat. We will fill the boat and share the

miraculous catch with those in need. Pray for a tremendous catch!

Noisy Offering will be gathered on Sunday August 31!

The New Hope Singers will begin rehearsing on Thursday September 4 at 7:30

p.m. All God’s creatures got a place in the choir! Please plan on joining us!

Volunteers Needed! Help us spread the word about New Hope as we canvas the

neighborhood with doorknob hangers inviting folks to join us for worship. We

need lots of hands Saturday September 6 starting at 9:00 a.m. Please join us as

many hands make for light work! If you have any questions please see Pastor

Do the Crab Walk to the Horan’s - Bob & Sis

Horan have graciously agreed to host An Adult Night

Out on Saturday, September 6th at their home, 370

Grant Drive in Hanover. Crabs will be cracked at 6:00

p.m. Please bring a dish and beverage to share (soda

and crab eating beverages are appropriate). Also,

bring a swimsuit if you care to take a dip in the pool.

Space is limited to 36. In order to secure your spot please sign up at the

Hospitality Table. A deposit of $15 is due upon sign-up for those eating

crabs. The final cost for each crab eater will be determined by the number of

people who sign up. Money is to be paid to Bob or Sis.

NOTICE— On Sunday, September 7th there will be a meeting after church for

all interested in participating in the Christmas musical.

Sunday School will resume on September 7 with a special Rally Day

Program at 9:30 a.m. Formal classes will begin on Sunday September 14th

for all ages. If your child will be participating in Sunday School please pick

up a registration form on the hospitality table and bring it with you to Rally

Day. We encourage every child to fill out a registration form. We will also

be having classes for Adults so don’t drop them off and run. Join us for this

very special hour of learning and sharing God’s Word!

We are in need of volunteers to help with the PAL

(Provide A Lunch) Program which provides a hot meal

to those in need. We have two teams that work on a six

week rotation. Teams gather on Mondays at 8:30 a.m.

and work until about 1:00 p.m. Volunteers prepare,

serve and clean up from the days meal. Please consider

helping with the important ministry. Please see Diana

Harner or Pastor Tim if you are interested in helping.

August Special Offering –As we prepare for School Start we will share our special Monthly offering with

Ruth’s Harvest. This project provides backpacks of much needed food for hungry children to help feed them

over the weekend. Your generous donations will help us care for these precious children.

Box of Hope Items to Support New Hope Ministries Food Pantry

We will be gathering paper towels to share with the guests of New Hope Food Pantry. Please bring in you

paper towels and place them in the Box of Hope. (Blue Tub)

Please also remember that we have a continuing need for BREAD! You may bring your bread and place it on

the table across from the hospitality table.

Nursery Service is now being offered during the 9:00 a.m. worship service for children newborn to age 5. Just go

to the rear of the sanctuary, down the hall to the third door on the left. Our dedicated volunteers stand ready to

help care for your little ones.

Each week New Hope sends out electronically our Newsletter entitled “THE ANCHOR”. If you are not

receiving the newsletter please forward your email to Pastor Tim or Chad McClintock. We will be happy to

add you to the list. You may also get the newsletter off of our website www.newhopefaith.org.

We are in DESPERATE NEED OF volunteers to help at the Food Pantry on Saturdays. If you could spare

three hours a month to help us distribute food to those in need please speak to Pastor Tim. The need is

immediate and DESPERATE! So please help!

Thank you to all who helped with the New Hope Yard Sale. A special thanks to the ladies who sorted, marked

prices and worked the yard sale for the three days. Thanks to their Herculian effort a profit of 793.85 was

realized!

PRAYER JAR-You will notice a large jar sitting on

the hospitality table as you come to worship at New

Hope. Many folks have said they don’t feel

comfortable speaking out loud or sharing their prayer

concerns during announcement time. So now you can

place your prayer concerns in our prayer jar and we

will pray over the jar every Sunday. So bring your

prayer concerns, or you can write them on the paper

provided and place them in our prayer jar.

Do you know some people try to DUCK out of here

without their anchor pin? It’s true and it really makes

us QUACK up! So every time you forget your

anchor pin you have to put a quarter in the box. All

the money will go to Heifer Project International to

help buy a flock of Ducks for families to raise. So if

you don’t have your anchor, be sure to pay your

BILL!

Don’t forget to bring in our Aluminum Cans. There is a can located by the coat racks in the entrance area in

which you can drop them off.

SPONSOR A SEAT!!!

We have found chairs that we will be using in our

new home in our worship space. You may see a

sample of the new chair which is located by the

hospitality table. The cost of each chair is $30.00

We are asking folks to help sponsor one or more of

the chairs. Please fill out the form and place it in the

colored envelope located on the hospitality table.

New Hope to Broadcast Sunday Service! Our

worship service is now being broadcast on WHVR

1280 AM from 7:00 to 7:30 a.m. If you would like

to sponsor the broadcast in memory or honor of

someone you may sign up to do so. The cost is 50

dollars. There can be more than one sponsor on a

given Sunday. Your dedication will be broadcast as

part of the radio program. If you have any question

please see Pastor Tim.

So far we have collected 315 purses for WAR

International (Women at Risk). We will continue to

collect until the end of the summer.

Schwan’s Fundraiser Update — We continue our

fundraiser through SCHWAN’S. You can order

online or by phone. The Schwan’s delivery truck will

deliver items to you home that you have selected from

their catalog. New Hope will receive 5% of the

purchases for the remaining of the year. Catalogs and

information sheets are on the Hospitality Table..

Enjoy their prepared items and we will profit from
