Customer Proof Point Replaced SAP with Oracle Cloud at Barnes and Noble (B&N) in 14 Weeks In 2016, IBM used its agile delivery methodology to replace SAP’s Business Planning & Consolidation (BPC) tool with Oracle Planning & Budgeting Cloud Service (PBCS). The new solution was integrated with E-Business Suite for General Ledger and Human Resource Management; established a consistent, enterprise-wide, reporting, budgeting, and forecasting platform for Finance and Operations; and set the stage for retail and e-commerce cloud projects. IBM used multiple “sprints” to accomplish key portions of the project. In a single three-week sprint, IBM gathered requirements, designed, and built the application and reports, and the final sprint included training and testing.
