The attached minutes of the Pre-Bid Conference held on November 19, 2018 are an integral part of the Con- tract Documents. 2. 110 volt power is available on site. 3. Access to potable water (hose bib) is available in valve vault. 4. Clarification: No specific containment method is specified. Contractor shall utilize containment appropriate for project conditions. Changes to Contract Documents: 1. Contract Documents are revised such that time frame for completion is as follows: Substantial Completion – 120 days, Final Completion – 150 days. 2. Contract Documents are revised such that, in lieu of the galvanized pipe with fittings, roof rails may consist of 1.5” Sch. 40 A36 steel pipe with welded connections. Blasting and coatings in accordance with tank exterior requirements. 3. Contract Documents are revised such that all railings shall have kick plate installed beneath the lower hori- zontal rail. Kick plate shall consist of 3/16” x 4” A36 plate welded to tank roof. Blasting and coatings in ac- cordance with tank exterior requirements. 4. Contract Documents are revised such that all antennae and associated cabling, conduit and other related hardware will be removed from the tank by others prior to Notice to Proceed, and all such equipment and mate- rials will be reinstalled by others after Final Completion. 5. Contract Documents are revised such that Conduit Attachment Brackets shall be installed in accordance with the attached detail (unchanged). Four runs of conduit shall be accommodated, and each run shall extend from the tank base near the ladder, to the inside railing on tank roof. Bracket spacing shall be no more than six feet, along the vertical side and also along the roof. Blasting and coatings in accordance with tank exterior require- ments. Conduit shall be provided by others. 6. Contract Documents are revised such that Antenna Support Bracket shall be in accordance with attached de- tail. Ten such brackets shall be installed outside the inner roof rail, as directed in the field. Blasting and coat- ings in accordance with tank exterior requirements. This work item shall be in lieu of the work described in Specification Para. 2.13.A of Sec. 09901. 7. Contract Documents are revised such that Mixing System pipe supports shall be in accordance with attached detail. Blasting and coatings in accordance with tank interior requirements. 8. Contract Documents are revised such that, due to welded anchor bolt nuts, existing anchor bolt assemblies shall remain and shall receive blasting and coatings in accordance with tank exterior requirements. 9. Contract Documents are revised such that a four feet wide anti-skid treatment shall be provided on roof, from all roof rails inward towards roof center. Anti-skid treatment shall consist of broadcasting a clean 40-50 grit sand immediately after top coat application, followed by an additional top coat.

10. Contract Documents are revised such that the Proco ProFlex 780 is approved as an alternate to the specified mixing system outlet check valve. Check valve shall be ANSI/NSG-61 certified.

11. Contract Documents are revised such that Contractor shall arrange for laboratory analysis of existing coat-ing systems in order to determine necessary means and methods regarding compounds containing heavy metals.

2. Scope of Work

Work includes furnishing all materials, labor and equipment required for interior and exterior surface preparation and painting, and miscellaneous repairs/renovations to a 1.0 MG +/- ground mounted welded steel water storage tank located at 1561 White Hill Rd. (approximately 1300 LF west of White Hill Rd. at a point approximately 1000 south of Twin Hill Rd.) Stuarts Draft, Augusta County, VA. (GPS to address given may not be accurate) Tank dimensions are approximately 51 feet diameter and 68 feet height. Inspection Reports are available on line. Full blasting and recoating of interior and exterior.

Interior surface SSPC-SP10 blast, exterior surface SSPC-SP6 blast. Results of paint chip analyses are available on line.

3. Schedule

a. Bids will be received at the office of:

Substantial Completion: 90 calendar days

Final Completion: 120 calendar days

c. Liquidated Damages

Substantial Completion: $300/day

4. Bid Form

a. Work is bid as Unit Price Bid Item.

b. Bid Form must be accompanied with Bid Bond security in the form of Bid Bond or Certified Check. Type to be indicated on Bid Form

5. Qualification Statement

To demonstrate qualifications to perform the work, each bidder shall submit with Bid written evidence, such as financial data, previous experience, present commitments and other such data as may be called for in these Contract Documents. Section 00450 of the Contract Documents shall be used for this purpose.

6. Insurance and Bonds

a. Bid Bond – Each Bid must be accompanied by Bid security made payable to the Owner in an amount of five percent of the Bidder’s maximum Bid Price and in the form of a certified or bank check or a Bid Bond (on Document 00430 or similar form) issued by a surety meeting the requirement of Paragraph 5.02 of the General Conditions.

c. Document 00620 - Standard Labor and Material Payment Bond,

Document 00610 - Performance Bond – Paragraph 5.01 of the General Conditions. When the successful Bidder delivers the executed Agreement to Owner, it must be accompanied by the required performance and payment Bonds. Performance and Payment bonds shall be separate and each in the amount of the contract.

d. Insurance Required – Section 00800 of the Contract Documents outlines

the insurance requirements for this project. Certificates of Additionally Insured are required.

e. Bidders Responsible to Obtain Complete Sets of Documents – Copies of

the Contract Documents may be obtained on line per the Advertisement for Bids. Bidders must acknowledge all Addenda on Bid Form.

7. Property

Work will be performed within the existing County property as fenced.

8. Inspection and Approval

Owner will provide daily inspection for the project. Engineer will conduct monthly Progress Meetings, approve payment applications as applicable, and visit site as required.

9. Materials

Contractor is responsible for providing all materials as specified in the Contract Documents. Contractor is responsible for storage and protection of all materials.

10. Special Concerns

a. OSHA Requirements - The CONTRACTOR shall be responsible for complying with all OSHA requirements.

b. Record Drawings - The CONTRACTOR shall submit to the ENGINEER at the Substantial Completion Inspection, record drawings of the project. ENGINEER shall provide CONTRACTOR with one clean set of plan sheets upon request.

c. Warranty - Contractor warrants all work for a minimum one year period as indicated in General Conditions. Additional warranties provided by paint manufacturer.

11. Comments and Questions:

- A-bolts appear to be welded to nuts. Can they remain and be blasted/coated with the tank?

- Is a water tap available?

- Is the level gauge to be ½ or full height?

- Is the old climbing system to be removed? Is the ladder shield to be replaced?

- 90 days to Substantial Completion seems a tight schedule.
