Marina Balderas exemplifies the tri-Community motto, "Better job, Better future, Better life." like many of our students, she was nervous but she took a proactive approach to create a better future when she enrolled in classes in the fall of 2019. Marina enrolled in our Personal care Aide class and began taking classes in our High School diploma Program. As a student at tri-community, Marina is dedicated and exuberant about her studies while striving to make her dreams a reality. She shows compassion, devotion, and care for her fellow classmates and those around her.

After earning her Personal care Aide Certificate, Marina continued her

schooling by taking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) course. She completed her state certification and was hired to help patients with after surgery care. Her goal is to become a nurse practitioner and she is currently working on the next step to reach that goal by continuing her studies in a licensed Vocational nursing (lVn) program.

“ I would definitely recommend Tri-Community Adult Education to anyone looking to continue their schooling and create a better opportunity for themself.Thestaff, counselors, and teachers are encouraging and they take the time to listen and help. Thatreallymakesallthedifference.Myteacher,JudyMcFadden, forthePersonalAide class presented us with so many options as we completed the class. We always had guest speakers and people within the industry who spoke to us about all the opportunities available. I decided I wanted to continue schooling to complete my CertifiedNursingAssistantstatecertification.Iamnowlookingtocontinuemyschooling and complete the LVN and RN programs and eventually my goal is to become anursepractitioner.TheHealthCareAideandCNAclassesweregreatpracticeandhave helped to prepare me for this goal.”
