DIVIERTE CON AKWATERRA Y SE PARTE DE LA CULTURA AVENTURA

COSTA DEL SOLESTERO JALTEPEQUEWith world-class beaches and beautiful warm, blue water, the Salvadorean coast is breathtaking.
Costa del Sol, one of our favorite spots is situated off the coast of La Paz, El Salvador and a strategic
20 minutes from the International Airport, Comalapa. Better known as "La Costa," the tranquillity
of the estuary and a wide sandy beach makes it a natural beauty of landscapes. Apart from its
majestic beaches, Costa del Sol is recognized worldwide for estuary fishing, deep-sea fishing,
kayaking, extensive mangroves and other eco adventure opportunities.
KAYAKING
Exploring this bio-diverse eco-system
is such a relaxing experience because
you will be peacefully immersed in
tranquil waters and beautiful nature.
Jaltepeque estuary is located in
Costa del Sol beach, in La Paz,
El Salvador. Besides being a great
fishing location, Estero de Jalte-
peque is a popular spot for paddling
and kayaking in El Salvador.
The mangroves in this estuary are
so bio-diverse, they make up a great
habitat for all kinds of creatures
which you will most likely see on
your adventure. Birdwatching is also
a favorite pastime for kayakers. The
mangroves are usually haven for
water birds such as cormorants,
frigate birds, pelicans, and others.
Birdlife includes pelicans, storks and
spoonbill flamingos, and reptiles
such as crocodiles and caimans.
To add to this exquisite experience,
we offer the innovative Hobie
Kayaks which bring something
brilliantly new to the sport of
kayaking: Pedals.
Pedals will take you further, faster,
with a huge emphasis on fun. Here's
how it works: you pedal by stepping
alternately left and right, not unlike
an exercise stepper, to drive two
underwater flippers. They work
much like a penguin's fins to propel
the Hobie Kayak with surprising
speed and ease.
Sturdy. Stable. And indeed, swift.
The result? boats that effortlessly,
gracefully, glide. Not only are Hobie
Kayaks easy to paddle, they're easy
to pull and definitely fun!

All sorts of fish and crustaceans
live in the brackish tidal waters off
the coast of Costa del Sol. Caimans
and crocodiles cruise the maze
of rivers and unmarked canals.
Hundreds of herons, egrets and
other marsh birds nest and feed
along the mangrove swamps.
We jump aboard a “Tiburonera”
(shark hunter) type of boat and head
towards the desserted beaches of
Tasajera Island. Along the way, we
check out the inviting local seafood
palapas that seemingly float during
the high tide and rest on sandbars
during the low tide. On our way,
we also enjoy a luscious mangrove
forest that prospers nicely in these
brackish waters. Garza Island, and
the various sand bars also form part
of our tour as we aim to see new
and interesting species of birds that
live in the area and form part of the
diverse biology we will encounter.
The countless canals that inter-
twine throughout the bay are perfect
spots to birdwatch and take great
photos. It is through one of these
canals that we come out to Rio
Lempa, the longest river in El
Salvador. Also a great spot to view
and photograph many water birds,
caimans and crocodiles. The “Salty
Forests” of El Salvador are full of
adventure. Estero de Jaltepeque
awaits your visit to discover the
wonderful life that inhabits it as
well as the natural, tropical, scenery
that will envelop your senses.

Farther out, the coastal waters are
alive with marine life that include
turtles, barracudas, stingrays, mar-
lins, dolphins and red snappers.
All this diversity makes up for an
enjoyable ride along Costa del
Sol’s waters.
Our fishing tours usually last
3-4 water time hours and prove to
be a fun and athletic way to spend
the day among friends and nature.
Experience the exhilirating sensa-
tion of pulling on your rod as you
struggle with the powers of nature
to finally conquer a Spanish
Mackerel or a Black Snook or a
Rooster Fish.
The deeper we head into the
ocean the more possibilities
we have to catch Mahi Mahi,
Yellowfin Tuna and even Sail Fish.
The adventure can be completed
when we make you a fresh fish
“ceviche” which is fresh bits of
raw fish marinated in lime juice.
Or you can opt to take your
fresh catch of the day home to
your hotel or vacation rental
and have the cook or chef make
you a delicious seafood dinner.
Any way you want, this fishing
excursion is an exciting way to
tour the adventurous Costa del Sol.
Our surf lessons are designed for
begginers to intermediate surfers.
No previous experience is required.
We begin the lesson with theoretical
aspects to obtain general knowledge
about the ocean, the waves and
about the art of surfing. After we
feel comfortable with our soft top
boards, we are ready to get wet
and catch some waves.
