The mission of Alabama Active™ is to promote a healthy, fit, active lifestyle for Alabamians and to promote businesses and destinations within the state. The editorial focus of the magazine is summed up as follows:

Our Mission

Readership ProfilePublished monthly, Alabama Active™ is distributed digitally to 80,000 active, outdoor- oriented subscribers. It is also distributed at select outdoor, hunting, camping, health wellness and automotive specialty tradeshows throughout the year.

FormattingIn every issue, Alabama Active™ will contain content related to the outdoors, health wellness and travel destinations. This exciting content will cover categories including, but definitely not limited to: hunting, hiking, running, biking, fishing, camping, off-roading, seasonal activities, product reviews and much more. Each issue will also feature an advertiser’s index; this way readers can find all of your contact information in one place. It is strategically placed in the very back of each issue so that if a reader spots your ad and says, “I’ll look into that more later,” your company’s name and website will be there at the end to remind them that they wanted to check your product out. Speaking of products, we would love to feature a product from your company. These are just a few of the categories and highlights of Alabama Active™. Ad design services are available to our customers according to the following terms: • $65 per hour for 1 or 2 issues

• Complimentary design for 1 ad with a 3-5 issue contract

• Complimentary design for 2 ads with a 6-issue contract

• Alabama Active will provide 2 proofs per ad design • All artwork and type should be prepared in CMYK & high resolution (300+ dpi) • PDF, TIFF, PSD, INDD (files must be packaged and include all links & fonts) • PDF fonts must be embedded • Please send your files to [email protected] Alabama Active™ reserves the right to edit or reject any advertisement the staff deems inappropriate for the publication. Additional Specifications: • Web Banners 468 x 100 pixels • Web Buttons 144 x 100 pixels • Complimentary web button/ banner design does not include flash buttons/ banners. Flash buttons and banner design are subject to $65 per hour fee. • All advertisements must be in an approved digital format to be considered camera-ready. When no acceptable artwork or copy is furnished to publisher by the deadline for the requested is-sue, publisher reserves the right to repeat the latest approved advertisement. If publisher is, within its sole determination, unable to produce any advertisement due to the type, style or color advertiser has called for, publisher may make alter-ations to such advertisement in type, style or color pub-lisher deems appropriate without advertiser’s approval. Publisher is not liable to advertiser for any error, problem

or mistake related to Publisher’s production.

• TERMS: All invoices are due upon receipt and are con-sidered late after 30 days. A 5% late charge will be applied monthly on overdue invoices. Agency commission of 15%

applies to recognized agencies, provided accounts are settled within 30 days of invoice date. Pre-paid cash discounts of 2%

apply to those invoices that include multiple insertions.All unpaid invoices will be turned over to our collection agency after 105 days of invoice date.

• SHORT-RATES: In the event advertisers do not complete contracted schedules, they will be required to pay the difference between the

original contracted price and the frequency rate for actual number of ads that were published.

• RATE INCREASES: Rates are not subject to change for companies with an existing contract regardless of circulation increases or paper cost

increases. • LIABILITY: Publisher is not liable for all content (including editorial and

illustrations provided by an advertiser or agency) of advertisements and editorials published and does not accept responsibility for any claims made against the publisher. It is the advertiser’s or agency’s responsibility to obtain

appropriate releases on any item or individuals pictured in an advertisement or editorial. Reproduction of Alabama Active™in whole or in part without prior written permission from the publisher is prohibited.

• DISCOUNTS: Frequency discounts apply to insertions that are placed in advance and must be completed according to the terms of the contract agreed upon by the

advertiser and publisher. • INSERTS: All inserts and special advertisement prices are available upon request.

• DATES: Call for deadlines on advertising closings, editorial deadlines andadvertising material deadlines.

• DIGITAL AD FILES: PDF files with PDF/X1-a format option are preferred with images and fonts embedded.Native files can be sent in Quark Xpress, Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop

or InDesign. Please supply all fonts, images and artwork with ads supplied in these applications. All supplied material should be in CMYK color space and have fonts embedded in all graphics.

• FILE FORMATS NOT ACCEPTED: We do not accept ads built in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Publisher, PowerPoint or Corel Draw.

• AD SUBMISSION: Material may be received on CD,DVD, e-mail or FTP site (Call for user name and password).

• COLOR PROOF: H & F Media, Inc. requires a high-resolution color proof of supplied ads to guarantee ad reproduction. This applies even on uploaded materials. If you do not supply this proof we cannot guarantee ad reproduction.
