School Advisory Council
What is it? What’s it have to do with me? Why am I reading this?
Tune in, as the School Advisory Council (SAC) exists to advise the principal on issues
relating to educational programs, resources, services, school policies, etc. Parents/sponsors of
students attending AEIS may attend our meetings which occur quarterly or more, if needed.
Our first meeting will be in the Information Center at 1515 on 3 Oct. Only SAC members
may vote on issues, but you’re welcome to attend and share.
Any questions, contact [email protected]. Thank You!
Our tentative agenda is as follows – please join us in these discussions:
Extra-curricular activities at AEIS will start the week of October 17, 2016. Clubs will begin at 3:05 PM. The descriptions of the extra-curricular activities that AEIS will offer this year are listed below. Please take the time to review the information with your children and encourage them to expand their interests by joining a club. Parent permission is needed for children to join any activity, and the permission slip is attached to this form. The permission slip serves as the child’s intent to join a club and is routed to the club sponsor. In cases where enrollment is limited, membership will be based on a lottery system. If your child is selected for an after school activity, you will be notified from the club sponsor before October 14. Transportation home is the responsibility of the parent/guardian.
Applications are due by 1500 on Friday, October 7, 2016. Late applications will not be considered.
