• Analysis: deciding what has happened.

• Evaluation: the end product of observation & analysis, where decisions are

made & feedback is given to the performer.

• Qualitative analysis: largely subjective (personal interpretation),

therefore subject to bias/error. More knowledge = more valid observation.

• Quantitative analysis: Direct measurement of a

performance/technique (Scientific).
