Skill Level: Intermediate Size: 6.5" wide x 60" long Materials: Cascade Yarns® Anchor Bay 50% Cotton / 50% Superwash Merino Wool 100 g (3.5 oz) / 262 yds (240 m) 2 skeins color #02 (Pink) US 7 (4.5 mm)/16-24” Circular Knitting Needles or size to obtain gauge Stitch holder 2 Stitch markers Yarn Needle for Kitchener stitch Gauge: 22.5 sts x 26 rows = 4” (10 cm) Blocked, in Pattern Stitch

Abbreviations: CO = Cast On K = Knit K2tog = Knit 2 stitches together P = Purl P2tog = Purl 2 stitches together PM = Place Marker SM = Slip Marker SSK = Slip a stitch, slip the next stitch, knit the slipped stitches together St(s) = Stitch(es) YO = Yarn Over Special Stitches: Fountain Of Hope Stitch (Multiple 9 + 4) Row 1 (WS): P all sts. Row 2 (RS): K3, *[YO, K2, SSK, K2tog, K2, YO, K1]; repeat from * to last st, end K1. Row 3 (WS): P all sts. Row 4 (RS): K2, *[YO, K2, SSK, K2tog, K2, YO, K1]; repeat from * to last 2 sts, end K2. Repeat rows 1-4 for pattern Set up: CO 39 sts. K4 (for edging), PM, K31 (for Pattern St), PM, K4 (for edging). Knit 1 more row.

Begin pattern: Row 1: K4, SM, work Row 1 of Pattern st over center 31 sts, SM, K4. Row 2: K2, YO, K2tog (edging), SM, work Row 2 of Pattern st, SM, K2tog, YO, K2 (edging). Row 3: K4, work Row 3 of Pattern st, K4. Row 4: K2, YO, K2tog, SM, work Row 4 of pattern, SM, K2tog, YO, K2. Repeat rows 1-4 for pattern until scarf measures approx. 30” or ½ desired length. (End with row 3 of Pattern.) Place these sts on spare needle or stitch holder Work 2nd half as above. Finishing: Graft 2 halves together using Kitchener stitch. Steam to shape.
