Term 1 Week 6
5th March 2020
Dear Parents/Caregivers,
Welcome to Week 6 and the half-way point in the term. It is great to see all
of our students hard at work in the classrooms and playing beautifully in the
playground. Our school’s PBL values of being safe, respectful and on task
are evident everywhere you look around our school.
Parent Meetings
Thank you to all families who have attended meetings at school with our
teachers over the past few weeks. We have held Learning Support Plan
meetings, Personalised Learning Pathway meetings, Individualised
Education Plan meetings and tonight will be holding Three-way Interviews
where the teacher, child and parent meet to discuss how they are settling
into the term and establish some short and long term goals for the future.
Stage 2 and 3 interviews will be held in the Stage 2 Open Space, whilst
Kindergarten and Stage 1 interviews will be held in the Infants building.
At CPS we greatly value our home-school partnerships and are committed
to developing strong relationships with all of our families. If you missed out on
booking an interview, it’s not too late - just contact the office on 63422400 to
arrange an appointment with your child’s teacher.
District Swimming Carnival
Congratulations to our CPS swimmers who competed at the PSSA District
Swimming Carnival last Thursday at the Cowra Pool. We have 19 students
who were successful in making it through to the next level of competition –
the Western Region Swimming Trials, which will be held in Dubbo on Friday
13th March. A permission note with details of the carnival was sent home
today.

Dhundhu Visit to CINC
Miss Van Ballekom and Dhundhu entertained the crowd at
Cowra Information and Neighbourhood Centre last Friday
with a lovely rendition of “You’ve Got a Friend in Me” from
the movie Toystory.
Community members thoroughly enjoyed their beautiful

wards, the children were treated to a delicious morning
tea.

CINC and we appreciate the support that Fran and her
lovely dedicated staff provide to our school.
