On Feb. 27, Albemarle High School

had 27 students attend the CIAA

Education Day at the Time Warner Cable

Arena. The Central Intercollegiate Athletic

Association consists mostly of historical

black colleges and universities. Students

were given the

opportunity to speak to college

representatives about applying

to colleges/ scholarships, and

enjoyed watching a college

basketball game at the arena.

Recently, our Exceptional Children's Self-Contained Autism and Life Skills Classrooms were

visited by some educational professionals from Japan. The Japanese visitors were in North Carolina to learn more about Autism and find out how they can replicate services in there country. They visited several

sights in North Carolina including TEACCH Centers in

Charlotte and Chapel Hill as well as GHA, Autism Supports

Residences and Day Programs and our EC/Au and EC/Life Skills classrooms at Albemarle High

School.
