The design of a garment factory wherein the

concept was Internal Connections . The idea was to connect two blocks which are separate

internally by bringing about the concept of

"semi-open spaces .

Design of an admin block for a campus

The site that was chosen was

located in the Southern

regions of Karnataka. The

criteria for choosing a site

largely depended on the

distance from the nearest

transportation stations and

mainly away from the city

centre. A setting within

nature and surrounded by its

inspiring qualities was looked

out for, in order to provide an

apt atmosphere for the

students as well as the

faculty. The region also lacks

a community center which

will be the purpose of the

school after its working

hours.

The case studies helped

primarily in understanding

the requirements of a

community school and the

ability to deal with a

contoured site. Local and

international studies were

made.

Macro Level Site Analysis

The school compound consisted of :

•An admin block.

•A pre-school and elementary block.

•High school block.

•Community center.

The building design followed the

principle of Cubism in Architecture

where each block was further

divided into rectangular and square

spaces. The community center had

dual purposes were it also serves

the community in the non working

hours.

Being inspired by Piet Mondrian

paintings, the interior and exterior

facades had a combination of the

primary colors with the

monochromatic colors.
