There are two major course units (namely NHC1 and NHC2) to successfully complete before you become fully certified with the NEBOSH National Certificate in the Management of Health and Well-being at Work qualification.

Exam Venue

The examinations are held twice each year and are to be taken on location at a registered NEBOSH examination centre. Additional sitting fees may be applicable based on the exam centre venue.

The Written Exam Paper

The examination comprises of a single two hour written paper. For the written paper, the exam questioning format consists of one long answer question and ten short answer questions – for all of which you should attempt to gain maximum marks.

The Practical Exam Paper

Additionally, students must complete a practical inspection report assessment for unit NHC2. The practical paper NHC2 consists of carrying out a risk assessment of a workplace and preparing a short report.

Who needs this qualification

The CCNSG Renewal Course is a one-day refresher course for those who have already passed the CCNSG National Course. This has to be taken within three months of the Safety Passport expiry date. If it is not taken within the specified time, then the two day CCNSG National Course will have to be retaken.

Why is this training course important

The CCNSG Safety Passport scheme is certified by the Engineering Construction Industry Training Board (ECITB).

The CCNSG Safety Passport is frequently a specified requirement for contractors wishing to work on engineering construction sites.

The Client Contractor National Safety Group (CCNSG), is a consortium of major industrialists from the power generation, steel, oil, gas and chemical industries who recognised the need to train contractors on basic safety to a common standard. The group has standardised basic safety training and devised a core curriculum which has now become a national training scheme.

The aim of the CCNSG Safety Passport Scheme is to ensure a basic knowledge of health and safety for all site personnel to enable them, after appropriate site induction to work on site more safely with lower risk to themselves and others.

The Construction Design & Management Regulations 2015 (CDM) are one of the regulations for managing the health, safety and welfare of construction projects.

CDM applies to all building and construction work in both the commercial and domestic environments and includes new build, refurbishment, internal and external upgrades, extensions, conversions, repair, maintenance and demolition.

With the recent changes in the in the Construction (Design & Management) Regulations 2015 everyone involved in construction needs to be aware of the changes and how it impacts on their role, particularly clients, designers, contractors and anyone involved in construction work on domestic projects.

The course is suitable for business proprietors, managers, architects, designers, supervisors and self-employed trades persons working in all industry sectors that could be undertaking construction work and includes any organisation having an in-house maintenance project management facility.

We offer two courses:

A half-day course which will provide an overview of the legal duties and give guidance on ways of complying without unnecessary paperwork.
