Find Your PlaceCollege is the first chapter of life you get

to write for yourself. We know you want to

make it count, both on a team and in the

classroom pursuing your major.

Sweet Briar is a college where you create

distinct friendships, where you’re able

to lead, where your voice will be heard,

where you’ll have room to explore and

be ready to change the world when you

graduate.

More than 40 programs of study, a low

student-faculty ratio and a campus that’s

named among the country’s most beautiful

means you’ll find your place.

CompeteDivision III athletics provides a well-rounded collegiate experience that

balances rigorous academics, competitive athletics and the myriad co-

curricular opportunities offered at student-oriented schools such as Sweet

Briar. Over the past three years, Sweet Briar student-athletes have competed

in the NCAA women’s tennis championship and garnered Old Dominion

Athletic Conference Player and Rookie of the Year honors. Vixens are

routinely voted to All-Conference and Honorable Mention teams and our

swim team is a perennial threat to finish in the top three teams at the ODAC

swimming championship meet.

Two-thirds of our Vixen student-athletes have been named to the ODAC

All-Academic team. Three of the last four Sweet Briar Presidential Medal

recipients have been student-athletes. The 2011 Presidential Medal winner

was also awarded a Fulbright Scholarship for academic studies in Turkey.

The Sweet Briar experience prepares you to compete and succeed in both

academics and athletics.
