What is the IB Middle Years Programme? (MYP)

The IB MYP is designed for students ages 11 thru 16 and provides a framework of learning which develops students into creative, critical and reflective thinkers. The MYP emphasizes intellectual challenge, guiding students to make connections between their studies in traditional s u b j e c t s a n d r e a l w o r l d applications. This approach fosters the development of skills for communicat ion, in tercul tura l u n d e r s t a n d i n g a n d g l o b a l engagement - qualities essential for success in the 21st century.

Atlantic’s MYP is designed to foster characteristics, skills, and attitudes of successful global

citizens. Students are well prepared to meet the academic challenges of the IB Diploma and the IB Career-related Programmes.

What is the IB Diploma Programme? (DP)

The IB Diploma Programme is an academical ly chal lenging and balanced program of education that is recognized by the world’s leading universities. The program develops students who exhibit excellent depth of knowledge and who flourish in an intellectually rich environment.
