Dear Friends,
Paul wrote to the Philippian Church, "...hold such men in esteem," (Phil. 2:29). This was referring to Epaphroditus a dear servant of God who had, "been sick unto death", (2:27).
Are there not some special folks in our church that we should esteem, honor, and appreciate because they too have gone through great suffering and pain as they serve the Lord Jesus?
We know all the glory goes to God and these people would be the first to declare it so. However, Paul gave credit where credit was due.
This little letter is to say to those who have suffered much and continue to be faithful to God, "We love and appreciate you and your example to us".
Some of you have suffered in the loss of your spouse or another immediate family member.
Some have suffered and continue to suffer from chronic physical maladies.
Some have suffered from great financial loss.
Some of you face loneliness and misunderstanding every day.
Some are suffering from the many aches and pains of old age.
The list goes on, for there are many kinds of suffering.
So, from those of us in your church family, who have not suffered to this extent, we say, "THANK YOU AND GOD BLESS YOU FOR YOUR EXAMPLE, COURAGE, AND FAITHFULNESS."

“So then faith comes by hearing, and
hearing by the Word of God.” (Romans
10:17, NKJV).

School. Understand the context, the
history and the culture. Discover the self-
revelation of God through the text of
Scripture. Connect with one-another as
together we are “sanctified and cleansed
with the washing of water through the
Word.” (Eph. 5:26).
