The Buccaneer Light Weight Interceptor (LWI)is an advanced development of the BuccaneerKIS. Manufactured with modern compositematerials and techniques it is designed forriverine ‘green / brown’ operations in thelittoral environment.

With a range of up to 800 meters the Buccaneer KIS usesspecialised payloads to lay buoyant netting / line forinterdiction operations. The Buccaneer KIS is extremelyflexible having a 360 degree rotation and depression andelevation of 45 degrees from the horizontal. It can beoperated remotely from the bridge or control room quicklyand safely and uses no explosive or pyrotechnics parts in its use.

Breach loading allows for swift and simple re loading of theBuccaneer KIS with alternative projectiles such as highdensity smoke, flares, or buoyancy aids also available.

Fixed Altitude Flight - When this function isactivated, the unit will maintain the SQ-4altitude. You only need to input the correctthrottle level and point the SQ-4 in thedirection you want to go.

Return to Launch (RTL) – You can flip thedesignated RTL switch on your radio and theSQ-4 will return to the take-off point. RTL canalso be programmed into your Receiver fail safeso that the SQ-4 returns home if RC link is lost.

Fixed Position circling – by activating thisfunction, the SQ-4 will automatically circle theselected area at a fixed altitude. Alternative toPerch and stare with a significant loitercapability. Very useful functions for aerialsurveillance and operational control.
